These jeans actually fit!
I have a small waist relative to my hips, and I have a really hard time finding jeans that fit. The last decade or so of low-rise pants has been a real trial. In fact, I'd pretty much given up even trying to buy jeans until I ordered these in French Walnut. I was skeptical, but by gum they fit, and fit well. I was so happy to finally find these jeans! I never want to take them off. They're comfortable and great for the outdoor work I do as well as casual occasions. I'd gladly order more in a trice, but I don't see any more Size 8, 32 regulars. What's with that? In desperation I tried the Size 8 32 Tall in both black and French Walnut, but the black ones seemed almost a different size so I'm returning the black ones (with regret).
Discontinuing these jeans? Please don't, Land's End! Seriously. Please bring back all the sizes and have them in blue and black as well.

Love the Jeans (thanks for carrying them again)
Wish they were also available in the dark indigo, but I have found the browns to be very accommodating to the colors in my wardrobe (black is a given for working out). I wear a 16 x 36 and I have worn Land's End for years...love them: durable, well-fitted & a great every day pant. Looks like Land's End is phasing them out again...booo...would have ordered another pair of both browns had I know. I waited for over a year to buy jeans when they stopped carrying them last time. Hope that isn't what's going on again.....

Confession
First, I must confess that the color I wanted was not available in the size that I am currently wearing. SOOO, I did something that I do not usually do. I bought them in a size that is too small. In all fairness to me, I have been losing weight in a conservative manner for quite some time. I have lost 61 pounds so far. I had become much to heavy. Therefore, I have more to loose. I can put them on, but really cannot fasten them. That said, I am eagerly anticipating the time when I can fasten them. I am tall, 5'10" and they are definitely a good length for me.

Just a very strange fit.
The quality of the pants seemed up to the usual Lands End standard, but the fit to these was just absolutely STRANGE--fit at the waist as was normal,but had material that bunched up in several places along the legs, and this was a petite size. I returned them.

Good quality pants
Originally I ordered a petite size 8 which is what I had ordered in the past. But the pants fitted loose so I exchanged for a petite size 6 which fits perfect everywhere except the waist which is still a little big. I washed it in warm and dried in normal temp and no shrinkage noticed. The fabric feels thick and soft, real quality pants. I have ordered another pair of different color.

Like these all cotton traditional jeans ALOT. Keep them available!
I discovered these jeans in the denim blue several months ago when they were being cleared out. I decided to try to them as the fabric and style were right: relaxed fit, at/above the waist, yoke in back, all cotton, heavier denim. The only size left was 2P x 26 in. Lucky me, I'm 4'11" and 105 lbs. and though I could really use a 27" inseam, and there was a tad more room in the hips/thighs than I needed, the first pair I ordered fit well. Besides, the idea was to have a warmer, more comfortable jean that I could wear off-season camping and cross country skiing; and to get long underwear on underneath and still be able to move around in them. I ended up buying more (THE LAST two pairs). I have been wearing them often all winter, and I am pleased.
So now I see these jeans also come in colors. I am ordering a pair of black. Happy that the top stitching is also black. I see that the sizes are also limited on these, so I will be getting the 2P X 26 in. again. My sentiments are similar to others, please keep this jean available and offer them in dark denim (with color matched stitching), regular denim, black and how about some other colors like dark gray, burgundy, olive, navy, etc? How about an unhemmed option?
One other comment: the white fabric used for the waistband and pocket linings pills badly on these and the colored men's jeans I got for my short husband. Use something better!

Comfortable and no gap at the waist!
I bought two pairs of these pants and although they are a bit baggier in the legs than I'd hoped they fit very well around the waist and hips, with NO gap at the waist! The fabric is very nice, soft but substantial, which makes them very comfortable and easy to wear. They also wash very nicely. The medium tall length was perfect.
