A hard to find bermuda length short
This longer length was important...I had knee replacement surgery and didn't want my scars to be so obvious. Fits well...I like the silky hand to this mid weight twill...comfortable in MD's hot summers and crisp enough to stand up to humid days.

Bigger than size
I ordered these in a 14 which is what I wear in a jean, but they were way too big. Returned for one size smaller and they are still roomy. Waist has two button closure which I'm not fond of. Having the elastic back is nice, don't have to worry about bending over. Good quality material which is always what I expect from Lands End.

These shorts are classics
I find these shorts perfect for running errands, shopping and just relaxing at home. You can wear them to casual social events as well. They do require a touch of the iron if you want to look perfect, but they are the perfect length as they hit right above the knee. They are well made and appear "finished" when you wear them. No rough edges or dangling threads. I recommend these.

Perfect!
I'm in my fifties and have a hard time finding comfortable pants. These shorts sit snug on my waist without any gap. They are just loose enough around the hips and thighs. The pockets are roomy. The fabric is good quality and easy care. I love these shorts. I bought two for work and the pink just for fun.

Not Like the 7-Day Products I Have
I was very disappointed in these shorts and had to return them. I knew they didn't have elastic all the way around the waist like I prefer, but I love the 7-day capris (because they never wrinkle and are great for travel), so I decided to try the shorts. The front waistband caused the shorts to not lay properly. Very unattractive. I always wear my shirt on the outside when I have an elastic waist, even if it is only in the back. I really see no reason for the half elastic styling when full elastic works so well.

Good fit; comfortable all-around short
I'm not a big fan of elastic waistbands, but this short does not have the typical, elastic "bunchy" fit through the seat. The fabric is sturdy and comes out of the dryer with few, if any wrinkles. The short fits through the waist, hip and thigh. It should be very good for "wash & wear" summer travel and other activities.

Long rise
I agree with other reviewers that the rise is a bit long. But I'd much rather pull these up than deal with low-rise pants! The length is nice - on me, they come just above the knee.

Nice shorts, a little long in the crotch
These are nice comfortable shorts, but are a tad long in the crotch. I plan on keeping them for bumming around at home.
