Soft material and great color!
The fit was good, the material is just the right weight. They look and feel nice and I love the plum color. Have received compliments on them.

Great For CURVY Girls.
Let me first start out by saying I ordered these in plus size. So I cannot speak to how the regular size fits. I ordered these in the same size I ordered the shorts and the chinos in the fit 2 and they fit the same. Sizing was consistent for me in all of those styles. Next let me speak to my body type. I am curvy. I am much fuller through the hips and thighs, which a much smaller waist. The fit me PERFECTLY. No giant waist gaps, and that happens to me a lot. If you are a curvy shape I would recommend them. If you are bigger in the middle and smaller in the legs I would hesitate, or at least try them on first. The leg was fairly straight and it was not tapered in the ankle at all. It was probably a little fuller than a bootcut, and no where near as full as flare. This makes for a very flattering leg line. Too many plus sized pants taper at the ankle. This is seldom a flattering look on the majority of people, let alone bigger gals. Thank you Lands End for FINALLY remedying that. I would also like to say they do provide some stretch, but after wearing them for about 16 hours, DID hold their shape. No sagging, and didn't get too loose in areas. I will be ordering more colors!

Perfect size and the aubergine color is beautiful!
BEAUTIFUL pants!! I wear a size 10-12 now and these size 10 look fantastic- even after 2 days of wear they don't stretch-out too much in the seat! I have slender legs and these pants are not too baggy in the thighs or knees, either. -Very flattering, and I ordered them long enough for my 5'7" frame, too!

They really do stretch
Consider buying a size down from usual. I have two pairs. The first pair is a 20W and was purchased in the autumn. It's comfortable, a good weight for Virginia winters, and washes well. It really does stretch out by the end of the day. I wash it between each use because, though it fits in the morning, by the end of the day I can pull them off without undoing the zipper. The second pair is an 18W and was purchased earlier this spring. It has the same qualities as the first, but because it's a size smaller I can wear it a couple times before washing it (even if it's a bit tight that first morning).

Good fit
I am 5'1" and 98 lbs, so it is hard to find pants that fit properly. I was delighted when these arrived and were not too big in the hips and thigh. Wish you carried this same fit and size in a chino! More pants in a 2P would be a nice thing as well. Sometimes your 4P fit OK, but most of the time they are baggier in the seat than I like.

Waistband cut so there is no stretch
I really like these pants. They are so soft, the stretch is great, and I love that they can be hemmed to my specifications. But beware, the fabric stretches one way and the waistband is cut so that the stretch goes the wrong way.

Terrible workmanship
The button & zipper are on the left instead of the right which is very awkward. Pants were badly wrinkled when received. Wrinkles didn't come out with washing and drying, nor did ironing with a steam iron help much. I would definitely have returned them except they were the color I had been looking for and they did fit well.

Good fit, mediocre material
Sadly, I have to agree with many recent comments on Lands End merchandise. I always used to count on quality materials, and today I can't say this any more. I have a pair of corduroy pants I ordered from LE 2 years ago. The corduroy material is a thick weight, but soft. Was expecting same quality from my new pair, but when I compared them directly to my older pair, the decline in quality was apparent. The material of the new cords is much thinner, very cheap feeling. Even the metal button is smaller and thinner than before. I could have picked up a pair of cord pants at a cheap discount store for a lot less money and had about the same quality. However, the fit was excellent, and that is the reason I kept them. I am hard to fit, especially in inseam length. Otherwise, I probably would have sent them back. I surmise that in order to keep costs down, LE has taken to using cheaper materials in some, not all of their merchandise. I would rather pay more and get the same quality I used to. Lands End, please take note. I believe many of your customers feel the same. I send back a lot more than I used to.

Huge boot cut flare!
I often have problems finding pants that fit properly through the hips without leaving a huge gap at the waist. These fit perfectly!!! However, the picture here on the website isn't an accurate representation of the huge flare at the bottom of the legs. I was told I looked like I was wearing bell bottoms. Considering returning them for that reason. :(
