Perfect 7" lenght but one size up in plus size
This pants are very nice for summer and the 7" length is just perfect. Usually I used 18w but I order 20w and fits well only the waist is a little thigh (that why 20w fits great) . I have it in orange and the color is beautiful!!!!

Super cute, but runs a bit small in the waist...
I ordered the Venetian Blue and it is so cute, very in style this spring. The quality of the shorts is great also. They do run a little small in the waist and the waist is a little higher than is fashionable right now, but not so much that you look like you are wearing your mother's shorts. They do shrink a tiny bit too, so order accordingly.

Nice
Venetian blue is so pretty! The length is great for a 40 year old. Not too short and not bermuda length. The silvery pink was not good for a fair skin tone though. The fabric does have a sheen so be aware of that.

Nice weight for warmer climates
I am losing weight and ordered a 14. I am hippy with a slight stomach. The shorts were perfect in the hips and the length was perfect for my body. However, the waist is a bit large. I ordered the pink and although it is lightweight, it is not see through. Looking forward to wearing these this summer and hoping that washing them will shrink the waistline.

Eh ... Not for me.
I was hoping with "Fit 2" these would fit a little more modern and less.. umm.. matronly. I am thin framed, size 2.. no hips or butt. They are pretty snug in the waist (which is fairly high... that's OK though). But the legs are baggy. I'd like a more proportionate fit, "straighter" through the hips and waist, but maybe I'm the oddball who is actually shaped that way :) I would go up a size but at the risk that the leg openings would be even more floppy. I don't feel that they fit as "straight" as it looks on the model photo. These are nice quality though and the color is cute.. wish they weren't so baggy with a tight waist... just looked kind of grandmotherly in the blue shade.

nice short, except...
u definitely have to iron on these, would have been perfect if they added a little polyester to them so u didn't have to.

In my opinion, LE runs on the small side.
I normally order from Old Navy and some of the chubby girl stores a 16 pant. I ordered these shorts in an 18 and Uhh-huu-no, they were too tight. I guess I'll try an 18W and see if that works for me but I need them for travels in less than two weeks. Darn I guess I don't know the fit of Lands End.....sigh.
I always take these opinions with a grain of salt. A pear shape says the pants are too tight in the leg. Well duh. I'm an apple shape and the waist is too tight. That's why I compensated with a larger size and it still didn't work for me.

Slightly Bigger
Well constructed. The fabric is a little bit on the heavier side for me. The colors you see on the screen is really what we get - pretty. I got a petite XS and it's still an inch bigger on the waist/hip. (I'm 4'11 and about 105) I needed a belt to make it fit. Hoping it will shrink in the dryer. One short I have to exchange since the inseam did not look right. It's a little bit under half an inch off. In all it's a nice purchase.

Great Shorts!
These are great shorts and have a fit that allows for good movement, sit where they should on the waist and have a button closure rather than a metal hook which can be a problem. The shorts have the usual attention to detail that Lands' End is famous for. I ordered these shorts in the vibrant beach orange color...hey, you only go around once!
