Women's Petite Fit 1 Ponté Demi-Boot Pants
Wow! NEVER STOP MAKING THESE! Never in my life have I put on a pair of pants that fit me so perfectly!! Pants have been my recurring nightmare ever since I can remember. Although I don't look like it to the passerby, I am proportioned oddly: I am 5' 6 1/2" tall, but with a short lower torso. I'm an hourglass shape, but, being an ex-athlete, have a round, prominent behind and muscular thighs. Petite torso proportions tend to fit me better, but I need a regular leg length. I figured I'd take a chance on these, since they were hemmed a bit longer and sat lower on the waist, so I ordered my regular size, but in a petite. They fit me like a GLOVE! No gapping in the back waist, no extra, sagging length in the crotch, gorgeous fabric...like I said, perfection! My one request: Could you make them in a deep chocolate brown please? Thank you!!

Beyond what I expected
I bought these thinking they would be an upgrade to my weekend attire. OMG these pants are beautiful and dressy. I will not only wear them to work, but also to church and other dressier events. The fit was perfect ( size 10) and unlike other knit pants they do not stretch out at the knees. I took a chance when the 25% off all things event was happening , now I want a pair in every color. I am 5'7" and did not need to hem or lengthen.

Weird fabric for pants
I had hoped that these pants would be a finer ponte fabric, but it was quite heavy. The cut was nice, but I just didn't care for the fabric. They went back.

I purchased 3 pair for 2 tall teenagers. They fit perfectly, they were long enough (yippee) and they had all the right "hippness' for them. Lesson learned....you're never too young to learn that every woman needs at least one pair of fabulous black trousers. Thank you.

Great fit for straight shape leggy ladies
I have the worst time finding pants that are slim enough in the hip and thigh and are long enough. I am 5' 9, short torso, straight hip, no bum, 33" inseam bird legs. After reading the reviews I ordered these in a misses 16, and while I could comfortably do a 14, I still think they fit well enough not to look dumpy. The waist hits right at my belly button and the legs are only slightly fuller than I expected/hoped for. With regular 1 inch heels they are about a cm above the floor. The material is midweight to heavy and stretchy., and they're well made. Unless you are up close, you can't really tell that they are knit. The drape is very nice, they skim, they do not cling. The overall look is great for the office, or where I where them, the symphony. They look great on stage and they're very comfortable, no problems with all of the movement that needs to happen. I have read several complaints about the weight and them being too heavy/warm. I didn't feel that way at all and it's at least 80F under stage lights and a fair bit of sweating happens, there were no problems that I noticed. The one other thing that I read about were some issues with the pockets. I agree, they're not brilliant . I don't have a problem when standing, but they look silly when I'm seated. I haven't got a problem (personally) with stitching them up so the line of the pants stays consistent standing/sitting, as the pockets aren't deep enough to be used anyways.

Order one in the R and one in P....
If you have a wider bottom and normally wear P. I first bought a R length pair and loved the fit of the waist, but the legs were long. I decided to keep them and get them altered. To be sure, I purchased a P pair and I was shocked how different the fit was. The pockets were on the front of the hips instead of high on the side like the R fit, almost more like crotch pockets. I don't recommend the P size unless you have narrower hips. Or like crotch pockets. I can't wait till I get the others fit so I can wear them too work. The material is like a pair of office appropriate sweat pants. Keep this material Land's End!! One warning, the other pants I purchased (straight leg Ponté) shrunk a lot from the first wash and dry, these did a bit also.

Great pants for the office
These are my new favorite pants for work. They are dressy but very comfortable. I'm almost 5'8" and about 132 pounds and between a size 8 and a size 10. In these pants the size 8 is perfect and not at all tight. 10 would be too big. Of the three pairs I got (black, dark gray, and blue), two were long enough that I took them up the width of the hem, which was not a big job. The others are fine as is. I have washed them several times and have not had problems with shrinkage, but I only put them in the dryer for a few minutes to get rid of any wrinkles and then hang them to dry. The only small minus I can think of is that the pockets are not deep so my cell phone fell out once when I bent over. These are the most comfortable pants I can remember wearing!

More than 'Excellent'
I was floored when I put these pants on. I love Lands End but honestly didn't expect these pants to be as wonderful as they are. I absolutely love them. Getting ready to order more pairs to keep on hand. I'm 5'8" and I had to break out the very high heels to keep them from dragging on the ground, but for once I don't look like I'm waiting for a flood once I put on my shoes. Also recall one reviewer saying the length on hers shrank a bit once she washed them so I'm expecting that to happen, too. I was so hesitant to order a knit pant because I have cellulite but the material is thick and my lumps and bumps don't show through (at least with the black). Very highly recommend!
