A couple of years ago, I bought 2 LE faux shearling coats and a hooded jacket for myself. I LOVE THEM ALL! I bought one style of just above the knew coat in both tan and black - since the black is a little dressier; the hooded jacket I got is dark brown. I wear these coats more than any others that I own - including much more expensive ones. They always look good - and you can throw them in the wash at the end of the season! :)
I bought this year's faux shearling coat in both tan and dark brown - as Christmas gifts for 2013. Can't beat the price - esp. when there's an additional discount.
PS. I never buy down, since I don't like the idea of wearing coats (or anything else) made from the feathers/down/fluff of dead ducks or geese. Leave the birds alone! :(

Nice Coat
I have always loved the shearing coat, It's very warm and heavy. When I saw this faux shearling coat, something just told me to try it in the dark brown coat and I ordered my usual size XS thinking it might be bit small. It fits me snug around the upper sleeves of the coat with a thick sweater, but I like that. It's very light weight, machine washable and I absolutely love the coat and the price!

Beautiful Coat!
Nice warm coat and true to size. I always wear a size 8 -10 and I bought a size medium and is roomy enough for layering a thermal shirt and a sweater.

disappointed
Although this is a lovely coat from the outside, the inside, (which, as the other person described, is not an actual ling, but rather the underside of the outside) has uncomfortable , heavy seams that stick out and rub inside the coat. I have never seen a coat with the seams protruding inside a coat, making it scratchy. The fit was also tight for the size. I usually love all Lands End clothes.

odd material, frumpy fit
I have a faux shearling vest from Lands End that I enjoy, so I had high hopes for this coat. The material of the coat was very thin and had a coarse, artificial hand-feel. To top it off, the coat smelled bad. I am modest, but the fit hid all womanly attributes more affectly than a down parka. I returned the coat.

Beautiful and warm!
I received this coat as a gift for Christmas this year (2011). The workmanship and materials are high quality, and the fit is right on. I have never been disappointed with anything I've bought from Land's End, and I'm glad that my niece has the same confidence in this company as she's the one that bought it for me. What a first-class gift! I highly recommend this product!
