Perfect 3-season coat! I was pleasantly surprise to find that the outer layer wasn't stuff and I'm wearing it now as we transition from winter to spring here in the Northeast. I've yet to wear it with the liner since a light fleece underneath with the outer coat is enough for me for temperatures in the 45°?55° range. I ordered the Petite Dark Wine and it's actually a little bit brighter than the photo on the website which is a plus! I found the overall petite length is perfert [I'm 5'3""]. A worthwhile investment. March 30, 2013
Very good coat I bought this in a large and perhaps could have worn a medium but it is hard to tell how much difference there is between the two. I have long arms and the sleeves on this coat might even be a tad too long. I agree with another reviewer that having a knit cuff inside the sleeve might have been good but then I am not sure it would have worked with the 2-coat system. Each layer makes a good coat and I am glad the hood comes off, while I want the hood option, I don't want it there all the time. All the pockets are wonderful and especially the hand warmer ones being lined with fleece. I would suggest a a few princess seams in the back of the liner coat so that when it is worn alone it is more shapely and would have liked a removeable belt for the outer peice to use when it is worn solely as a trench. Having the elastic adjustment cord on the outer coat does give some shape to the coat when worn alone. The one real complaint that I have has to do with the down feathers coming through the liner coat. This coat is expensive and appears to be well made, with lots of features that seem to be thought out, so I am not sure why there should be such a release of the small down from the liner coat when it is worn and especially when it is worn alone. I have black seats in my car and the back was completely speckled with little down feathers and there seems to be little white tuffs floating around often when I wear the coat. This is the reason for the less than perfect rating. December 28, 2012
