A SHRUNKEN AND RETURNED PRODUCT!!!
As we must all realize Land's End runs large. From the reviews, I thought I'd order up two sizes - so instead of XS petite I got non-petite S. The item arrived covered with pills and was so tiny that it barely covered my bellybutton on my 5'1" frame. Yes, SMALL (which is sizes 6-8) was far too small for my size 0 frame. I'm completely convinced this was shrunken and returned, and then Lands' End has the temerity to try to sell the damaged product.

Too small and itchy
I loved the color. However, when I unwrapped my sweater and held up my size-medium sweater, it looked about big enough for a chihuahua (at best, a beagle). Someone must have washed and shrunk it; without conscience, returned the sweater which was resold to me. I would have returned it anyway; the feel was stiff and itchy (a result of someone washing it perhaps?).

Warm and fits nicely (before wash) but pills within 3-4 wears
Before I wear it I go over it to remove the pilled wool. During the day while wearing it I do the same. Great for a cold winter day to wear at home, not to work.

DO NOT WASH!!!! DRY CLEAN ONLY!!!!!
The first time I wore this sweater, it was "ooow and aaww" I loved it. I loved the color (purple). The sweater was fab, soft, great cut, not boxy at all. I hand washed instead of dry cleaning, and laid out flat to dry. It shunk almost 4 sizes, the hem endding just below my bust line and it literally clung to my body. If I hadn't been so disappointed about not getting to wear the sweaterthat and the $$$ of the sweater itself, the would caricature would have been laughable. LAND'S END CHANGE THE LABEL TO DRY CLEAN ONLY to warn others not to make the same mistake.

Cute, but pills after a few wears
I got this in the purple in xs. I am 5'2" and 125lbs. Fit is good. I wear it with a long sleeve tee underneath and goes well with jeans. It has a nice amount of slouch to look nice with something more fitted on bottom. Would look cute with a pencil skirt, too. It is soft and the color is great. It's more of a deep berry with bright pink as opposed to a true purple. I think it's a little brighter in person than the stock photo. The only thing so far I can see that I don't like is that it pills. Large, chunky pills all over. I haven't been rough with it or rubbed a handbag strap across it repeatedly or anything like that. I might use a sweater stone or pill remover, or I might return it, I haven't decided just yet. I like the sweater but can live without it, and with the pilling I think it makes it look old when in fact I've worn it just three or four times max.

Do NOT Hand Wash This One!
I love this sweater, but it should NOT be hand washed. It shrunk up and stiffened when I did. I am hoping to have it replaced because I really do love it. It is soft and not scratchy, and I wear a long sleeve tee underneath. Only have this sweater dry cleaned! Trust me! Land's End needs to reconsider having this one labelled Dry Clean only. I am 5'4", slim, and ordered a S which fit perfectly.

Love It!
I am perplexed by the women who rate this as fitting small. I am 5'4" and 140lb and am certainly not considered skinny or tall and I carry my weight pretty evenly. After trying on the medium, then the small, I finally settled on the XS. To be clear, I'm usually a medium but for the last few years I've found LE's sizing to be fairly erratic.
I do LOVE this sweater though. The fabric is lovely, not too itchy at all, and the cowl has a nice contemporary look. Mine is in purplette heather, which is a nice splash of color for the wintry months.

Very Classy Sweater
Found this sweater in the Lands End Dept at Sears on sale in the Mocha color. Goes with my starfish pants in the same color and any color thin turtle neck..... pink, aqua, cream. Great for MN winters. I am back for the purple. I have also noticed that the natural fabric tends to pill after wearing a few times, but such a beautiful style, I want more. Love, Love, Love.

Ludicrous length
The reviews were so spot-on with this one. Too short, too tight, weird sleeves... so why did I try it? The colour was so gorgeous that I had to see if I could make it work. But the green is only available in Petite, and it was comical when I tried it on. The body and sleeves were OK, but the length? Wow! It barely reached to my waist I'm just 5'5"). It looked ridiculous. The green is beautiful, not piney like most of LE's dark green but a soft green umber (like the other reviewer said, more olive) - for me, a must-have shade. Too bad!

Lovely color, weird cut
I wanted to love this sweater -- the color is lovely and the knit so soft. Unfortunately, it's a weird cut (boxy, geometric, huge cowl) and it just didn't work on me so I returned it. I would absolutely buy a different style in this same color and fabric combination.
