Our Down Vest brings feminine flair to a classic. It's styled with a trimmer silhouette to add shape through the waist. And the diamond quilt design gives it a modern twist. On the functional side, it doesn't get any more versatile than this. Layer it over or under throughout the seasons for guaranteed warmth, thanks to the 600-fill power insulation. It's so lightweight, if it wasn't for all the compliments, you might even forget you're wearing it. Machine wash. Imported.

Recommended with Reservations My fall/winter uniform is a LS t-shirt and vest. I purchased two of these in black and green last fall and have worn both a lot. I had to return to first batch to get an xs, I usually wear a LE small. They are fairly boxy, but I'm tall and find them to be long enough though I'd love an extra 1" in length. They wear and wash well, though occasionally leak down. I find them to be not as warm as my boiled wool vests, so they are not a super heavy layer. Overall, they are good and I enjoy having them in my closed. April 16, 2013
Short and boxy Quality seems good, sizing is okay, but the fit is very unflattering. Too short on me, I'm 5'7 and it barely hits my waist, yet is very boxy. Too bad, the colour was nice. April 12, 2013
Warm Vest I am very happy with this vest. Size is true to size. Only thing I would add is a zipper pocket to secure keys/wallet when going about town without a purse. March 14, 2013
Pretty vest but small pockets I have several LE down vests. This one fits a bit snugger than the others. I agree with the other comments regarding the shallow pockets, I suppose they are shallow to prevent bulk but they need to be a bit deeper to be practical. I like the diamond pattern, it is very flattering. February 26, 2013
Warm and light weight I bought this vest in black and red and I am very pleased with the colors, shape, warmth, and weight of them. I can wear them inside or outside. I am 5'4" tall and usually wear a medium in tops/shirts/jackets and these fit true for me. My regular size is a 6 or 8 and I can wear a sweater under the medium vest. The arm holes are large enough without being too big. The vest is longer on me than on the model in the picture. I was concerned that it was going to be too short but ordered to find out and it is just right on me. I do not think it is large in the bust as some thought and I am a medium size. The vest is not as tight fitting as the one on the model but I would not like it to fit so close. I could wear the small if I wanted it to fit like the models and look more slender but I am not sure I would feel as comfortable. February 21, 2013
Too boxy, too big at waist Needs more princess seaming or an adjustable waist. Looks like a big rectangle on me. But warm. Husband says: "Not flattering at all. But looks warm." February 2, 2013
This vest is AWESOME!! I have this vest in several different colors: ivory, red, and brown. Obviously, I LOVE IT! I have ordered these vest on seperate occasions, and the quality is always good from one order to the next. I love that it 's more of an "indoor" vest - it's warm but lightweight, and it's not bulky at all! I'm often cold, so I'll wear it layered with a long sleeve tee, or sometimes a tee and a sweater. (It's cold in MW Ohio!) I love the princess seams that hide a multitudre of flaws and help me look longer and leaner! Some vests are very boxy in the fit - this one is NOT! All of my vests are a 1X and I would say they fit fairly true, but if you're on the fence, you can probably order a size down. PLEASE, PLEASE Land's End, keep this vest - and keep it in Plus Sizes! Short-waisted but cute style The vest is true to size in circumference. It is short and short-waisted. I had ordered the coat in this group in MP. It seemed to fit fine for length. This vest was very short and very short-waisted in the MP. I exchanged for a medium missy size to get the length. I'm 5'2". There was a very cute diamond design vest a few years ago in satin. I have several of those. The MP in that style is the same length and shoulder-waist as the M in this new one. January 27, 2013
LE's Most Flattering Vest I am on the small end of the size range (5'0" and 115#) so I followed the advice and went with a Petite XS (I usually take PS). This vest is a great fit and a great shape - I can wear it comfortably over my Polartec 200 fleece jacket and equally well just over a light sweater, without it looking too large. The diamond quilting is figure-flattering and the down filling is generous without being marshmallow-like. Land's End, please keep this vest coming... and to make it perfect, make the pockets a little deeper, add snaps to the pockets, and maybe even put in an inside pocket. January 25, 2013
Nice basic down vest I got this in Imperial Purple, which is a dark, classy looking purple that can go with a number of other colors - definitely not a screaming purple color. The vest itself looks well made and is lightweight but warm. I call it basic because it is lacking a few features that would make it more usable in tough winter weather. Most of all it misses a zipper. This vest is buttons-only which does not work well in cold windy conditions. Secondly the side pockets are rather short, with a slick nylon lining. They won't keep hands very warm nor items secure as they cannot be closed. A fleece lining would have been nicer and at least a one-button closure to keep things from falling out. I would best describe it as more of a fashion vest (albeit a warm one) than a real serious winter piece. Other than these observations, I like the vest, especially the wide range of really wearable colors it comes in. Since I also got it on sale with an additional coupon, I am very happy with it.
