A GREAT coat for Alaska!
I live in Alaska and we need coats that are super warm, easy to wear, and long enough to keep legs warm without being in the way. This coat is perfect in all those areas. It comes in gorgeous colors, making me order several, as we get tired of dark, drab colors up here. I've recommended it, highly, to some new ladies joining our Air Force community up here, and strongly recommend it for anyone needing a great coat at a great price. Most goose down coats are really expensive, and most aren't this comfortable.

A love/hate coat (but mostly love!)
This is one deceivingly warm coat! I was outside (in 10 degree weather) thinking I didn't even really need a coat - I was perfectly comfortable. As soon as I took my hands out of the pockets, I realized quickly how cold it really was. I also find myself sweating pretty quickly whenever I go into any establishment. This is a problem I can live with though during freezing temperatures. As for sizing, I bought my normal size and it fits well.
There are only a couple of small negatives. I love the look of the belt but it really is a pain. As others stated it is very long and it also clacks quite a bit. Unless I'm going somewhere where I want to be a bit more polished, I leave it at home. Also, the zipper is hard to attach. When it works, it works well, but getting it to clip on the bottom has been a chore. If it wasn't such a great coat otherwise, I probably would have returned it.

Warm, light, enjoy the cold weather coat
I recently "inherited" my son's dog when he and his wife had a baby. Winter was in full force which meant many trips outside with the dog. It was bitter cold on many days and nights but wearing this coat made the process easier to take! I am a 5'1" woman and the petite sleeve and bottom length were just what I needed. The fur-trimmed hood covered my face perimeter or was able to be folded back. I look forward to zipping off the fur trim to have just a hood or snapping the hood off altogether when Spring temps arrive. I'm not sure why but I find many Land's End zippers hard to get started, but the snaps were quick and adequate to keep out the cold. The Angel Blue color I chose is a lovely shade and receives many compliments. The diamond pattern keeps the quilting uniform. I will be happy to have warmer temps but sad to put this coat away. It really got a work-out and when recently washed looked as good as new. I chose not to wear the belt most of the time and the coat was fitted enough. I also like the vertical breast pocket near the zipper to hold my phone. The side pockets are deep and each has a mini-pocket inside for something like a tissue or coins. Great Land's End quality!

Wore this in Alaska during the winter
I bought this on an end of season sale last year, and wore it this winter to -30 degrees. The coat is warm, light, and generated compliments from strangers virtually every time I wore it out and about. I'm truly tempted to buy another!

Best made coat I have had in a long time...
I love the details on the collar and cuffs, soft and warm when you forget your scarf. This coat can be stashed in a ball and when you put it on their is know wrinkles! Best feature is it's light weight but super warm.

Super warm, but sheds like crazy!
I love this coat. It's a great silhouette and is warm without being exceptionally bulky. But like every down coat that I've ever had, it sheds down particles like crazy. My car seat is covered right now. One other thing I don't love is the decorative buckle. There are no holes in the belt, so you have to tie it; the buckle is just for decoration. It's heavy and serves no purpose whatsoever. It's also super noisy when you walk--people can hear me coming from about a hundred feet away. Clack, clack, clack.

Great coat in many pretty colors
I couldn't decide on which color I wanted, so, I got it in ivory, angel blue, and pink begonia. They're very light, warm, and comfortable to wear. The belts and the tie strings that are in the hoods are great for bundling up tight against the really cold weather. They've been going great with my black and brown cold weather boots. I'm very happy that I made the purchase.

Sheds non-stop
It's a very nice coat, fits well, very comfortable, and stylish. But sheds like crazy!! Not worth the $$.

Buyer Beware! Coat sheds feathers and down.
Love this coat's fit, design, and warmth. However, after repeated washes and drying according to instructions, I have had enough! The coat sheds feathers and down all the time. My sweaters are covered in white pieces of down and my family has been merciless with their jokes. I tried to make this work but it's time to return the coat. Someone in product testing missed a HUGE flaw.
