Amazing dress but sold out too quickly! Please bring back the purple!
I bought it in black, and it will definitely be a favorite dress. A small fits perfectly (5 ft 9, 130 lbs). And they're right... it does wonders for the feakishly long-waisted such as I. Looks great with sandals or heels, can dress it up or go casual, throw it in a suitcase. And the high cotton content is so comfortable. Really a perfect dress.

One of the Best Dresses this Year on Lands' End
I buy a lot of Lands' End's dresses. This one is a keeper. I wanted to buy more colors but they are sold out. I hope they get more in stock soon.

perfect dress
I love this dress. I am 5'4" , 130lbs, and ordered small size. The blue color is beautiful, you can dress up or down, the lenth below the knee, the fabric is so soft, modest dress.

Perfect
I'm 30 and wanted a dress that is fun yet modest. This dress is perfect, and I usually really struggle to find dresses that are comfortable and drape nicely. The fabric is a little heavier than I thought it would be, but the weight makes it fall very nicely. There is a brass colored button at the keyhole that I didn't notice in the pic but it does look nice. Planned on this as a summer dress, but I did order black and foresee myself using the dress in the winter as well.

Going back--front seam ruined it
Hello, I ordered this on apr 26 in XL, just received my order today. I loved the purple and when I tried it on the fit is fantastic. Unfortunately, when Lands End pictured this dress in the catalog you can't see the front seam at all and it ruined the dress. There is also one straight down the back. So instead of 2 pieces of fabric, the dress is pieced together with four. I just looked at this black dress in this photo and you can't see the front seam on this photo either but you can spot the back seam when you look at that picture.
Too bad, Lands End, I would order several colors if the seams were only on the sides and you didn't run out so quickly after showing it in the catalog.

I bought this dress in every color.
I love this dress so much I bought it in every color in the longer regular length, and also bought it in the petite length in the blue and black; hey my motto is if it's worth doing it's worth doing to excess. I wear them with my own belts and since at my age ( 63 ) I don't go sleeveless, I wear them with cardigans and short jackets for church and out in the evening. IMO they look equally great with flats, pumps, or wedge heels. For size reference I am about 5' 5", 120 - 125 lbs, bra size 36B and the S 6 - 8 fit perfectly in both the regular and the petite. I hope LE brings them back for the Fall - Winter season in beautiful Autumn colors. I would love to see it in dark Charcoal, Forest Green, dark Tan, and maybe a blue-toned Red for Christmas.

I am a plus size lady (5'9" 261#) and this dress in a size 2 is perfect.
I ordered the Black and Floral and would order every other color if it was provided. PLEASE PLEASE bring us more of this style in more colors.

It fit great. There is an unattractive seem down the front.
It fit great. There is an unattractive seem down the front. (I can't see it in the pictures) The seem goes all the way down the center. It fit so nice I thought about keeping the dress , but I couldn't get past the seem. I did not like the material either. It's that cotton t-shirt like material that fades when you wash it.

Bring more in!
I ordered this dress in the purple and I loved it so much I went back to order another.... and they're sold out already. Fits great, the length is nice (I don't like above the knee dresses) and the fabric is soft and comfortable. I tried it on with a variety of different belts, shoes, and accessories and it can be casual or more dressed up. I hope you get more in yet this year, but if not, be sure to bring this one back for next year.

Really pretty and perfect for summer.
I purchased the blue color and it is a beautiful shade. I tried it on for my husband and right away he said "that one is a keeper". I can see wearing this to work with a cardigan (no sleeveless allowed at work), wearing it casually or dressing it up for dinner. I am 5' 10" and about 145 pounds. I usually purchase medium but find them a bit large on me so I went with the small and it fits perfectly. It is shorter on me than on the model but still a nice length. I also agree with the other reviewer, the belt it comes with is just fine, but dressing it up with your own can make a world of difference to the look.
