My new favorite
I received these as a Christmas gift and love them - they are my go-to shoe. They look great with jeans or cotton slacks and are very comfortable. I've had no issues with their quality and wear them often. I do a lot of city walking and they've been just great.

Stitching unravelled
I really like these at first but after wearing them a few times the stitching on the right shoe came off, separating the shoe. Too bad they didn't last. I expect more from Land's End products.

I love these shoes...
I read all the reviews and ordered them anyway and am I ever glad I did....these shoes are comfortable the first time you put the on, the stitching on my shoes has not come off at all (and I wear them a two or three times a week to work) and they look great. Recommend them highly.....

Love the shoes at sale price; wish the flaws weren't there
I got a 9W, though I can wear anywhere from 8.5 to 9, since I read the toes could be narrow. My foot is a tad wide, but usually not enough for a wide shoe. This was a great idea, since the toes are more narrow than the backs. The shoes fit my feet very nicely and were great for a weekend in Paris... except that one side of the stitching has already come loose after only 4-5 wearings. I expected a little better finishing from Land's End, but I love the shoes and will pay a tailor to restitch the side. I'd buy another pair of these classic loafers.... very comfortable.

Poorly made - disappointing
I loved these shoes the first time I wore them. They looked great and fit perfectly. The second time I wore them, the stitching between the top and side of the shoe came apart. I have never had such shoddy construction from a Lands' End product before. Fortunately, they are paying for return shipping. I would have ordered a replacement pair but seeing two other reviews showing the same problem, I think I will just go for a refund.

Fantastic classic shoe!
I purchased two pairs, black and dark fawn. I am very hesitant to purchase shoes online but they slipped on my feet and they were ready to wear. Unlike other reviews I have seen for this shoe, the stitching on mine have held up now for over four months of daily wear and they are still going strong! They are my equivalent to flip flops in the summer. I toss them on to run to the mailbox, a trip to the store, walk the dog or grab the kids at the bus stop and I have never been happier. Classic styling is a plus! I just wish they came in more colors in the suede.

Cute but not well made

Poor quality stitching
I loved these shoes when I first got them. The leather is soft and high quality and they are the right combination between casual and dressy to wear to the office or for travel. Unfortunately the stitching between the sides and the top is very poorly done and not properly secured at the ends. When I wore them on a business trip after the first day they were coming apart at the seams. Because I had not brought another pair of shoes I had to continue to wear them and they continued to fall apart even more. I hardly made it home with them clinging to my feet. I'd have returned them but I'd thrown away the receipt and box. I usually love the quality of Lands End merchandise but they should stop selling these immediately if anyone else reports this problem.
