Every winter, it’s the same dilemma — you crave fashion but you need function. Tired of facing the same problem, our designers went to work. And they went all out with this one. Our Ciré Down Coat has so many unique details, but we’ll begin with the one its named after. The special ciré finish removes all of the tiny hairs from the fabric, creating a smooth, shiny feel and look. Chevron quilting brings dimension and an eye-catching design. Faux fur trim and rib collar accent nicely. Our parka also has plenty to make it “winter worthy.” It’s packed with 600 fill power down (one of our best) for better insulation and a bulk-free fit. A water-repellent finish helps fend off the elements. Rib cuffs help block cold. Finally, our coat’s longer length provides more coverage, yet won’t hinder your movements. Roomy patch pockets have a dual-side entry. 100% polyester shell. Machine wash. (Remove faux fur trim and dry clean separately.) Imported.

Perfect Fit, Lovely Quality I was delighted to find a coat offered in Tall. The length is perfect, sleeves are long enough, and the belt sits at my waist where it belongs. The only place where a little more length would be useful is in the hood as it feels a bit short. I got the dark wine in a Tall/Large and am very happy with the soft, soothing color. The design, construction, and materials are superb. Perfect for a trip to a colder climate! March 24, 2013
Warm coat that hugs the body! I received this coat in black L petite on clearance a couple of weeks of ago and it's great. It's a very warm, figure flattering coat. I tailored this coat to be my dream coat: I zipped the fur off of the hood and removed the belt- will eventually cut the loops off too!! The coat hugs the body so if you're looking for a baggy/roomy coat this is not the right one; I don't feel uncomfortable in the coat but did notice there was less wiggle room than other LE coats. My only compliant was that the pockets are too high up on the coat and wish they were side slit pockets; otherwise I would have given the coat 5 boats for excellent!! March 17, 2013
Wish it didn't have "patch" pockets I really wanted to like this coat. It is well made and has a slight sheen to it. I wish that the coat had just a flap pocket like the Cire Parka version--decided to try it and just didn't like it on me. The patch pockets interrupt the pattern. Belt is very long and was not preferred. I am 5"10", 165 lbs. with broad shoulders and long arms. The Medium tall was good but I could have gone with a large tall. Lastly, what is up with the "duck" smell? I was surprised at how strong the "down" smell was. Maybe this would have lessened with time and exposure to air? Not a deal breaker... March 15, 2013
Wonderful winter coat I have been looking for a longer down coat (have a jacket but wanted something that goes above the knee for really cold days). This is a wonderful coat. I ordered the silver frost color, it is a shimmery gray-silver, really nice and neutral, this color goes nicely with any accessories. Very warm. Love the fur trimmed hood (fur being very popular now I wanted something with fur, but detachable if I wanted). I would definitely recommend based on style and price. Does fit a little snug around the torso but not uncomfortable, fit around the hips is roomy. Arm length also good. January 19, 2013
Love, love, love this coat I hate buying winter coats. They are always either too sporty looking or so nice that I only want to wear them for fancier occasions or to work when the weather is clear. But I loved the look of this coat online -- functionally warm and cozy but nice enough to wear to work or out without feeling like I should be on the slopes. I got the blue color and I think it's beautiful. The size was a little tricky for me, because apparently I am bigger in the hips than on top! So I bought the large even though I usually wear a medium in dresses and blouses, and it just fits around my hips. But the top is nice and roomy with space for a bulky sweater, if I need one -- but I generally don't because this coat is so warm on its own! I disagree with the reviewer that said she won't wear this coat if it's above the mid-30s -- I've been wearing it all the time this winter, and I live in never-quite-cold-enough-for-snowing Virginia, and I find it quite comfortable. The best thing about the coat (in addition to the look and comfort!), which I totally missed in the description, is that there are so many detachable pieces! The fur lining comes off the hood, or the hood can button-off entirely, so on warmer winter days I can just skip the hood and it doesn't look like I'm preparing for Swowmageddon. The belt also comes off, and it is definitely overly long so I just tie it around the waist, as the other reviewers mentioned. If I could change one this about this coat, I would remove the buckle on the belt -- since I'm tying it anyway, I just seem to manage to smack my car or whatever else is in the way with that heavy belt buckle. But that is definitely not a deal breaker for me. This is my first Land's End coat, but definitely not the last! I was very impressed with the quality and style and am now able to look forward to winter-coat shopping. :) January 9, 2013
Fits great I live in Western NY and wanted a really warm jacket that could handle well in Lake Effect Snow and Wind, that wasn't bulky or ugly. I got this in a Tall Medium. I can wear a heavy sweatshirt under it and it just fits in the shoulders. The belt is too big, so I tie it like they do in the pictures on this website. It is a little big on me in the waist, but not enough that i would want a different size. I wore it to a Buffalo Bills game when the temperature was in the single digits. I wore thermal shirts and 2 fleece sweatshirts under it and was actually hot! I ended up unziping my jacket for most of the game. When it is in the high 30's this jacket is overkill because it is so warm. It does an excellent job of blocking the wind and is perfect for really cold days. This jacket is not bulky at all, and suprisingly lightweight. I have another winter jacket that is not from Lands End that weighs a TON compared to this one yet, it is not as warm January 8, 2013
Love this coat I ordered this in the Alpine Forest color- and I think it's a nice color, but much more of a brown than green. It seems to be a good quality coat, and I like that the sleeves end in a nice cuff to keep out the cold. My other parka from LE does not have this nice cuff. With the sale price, I am very happy and can't wait to try it out on the frigid mornings and nights we've been having. Like most LE products, with the vanity sizing, this does run a little large, I was going to order the XS but decided on the S because I have broader shoulders. I usually wear an XS in LE shirts, but I wanted room to wear a sweater and be able to move around. I am 5' 7" and slim/athletic 130 lbs, and a 34B. I think the S will be fine if I want to wear a sweater underneath, the hip is roomy, and I'm not crazy about the oversize belt, but it can also be removed. Overall, I think this will be a great winter coat. January 3, 2013
Beautiful Lightweight Coat I love this coat! I got the Shiitake Mushroom colored one in an XL. Lands End XL=18 and I usually wear a 1X. It fits great! Definitely doesn't run "small". This coat is beautiful, lightweight and warm! It's nice cuffs keep your wrists warm. It is beautiful too! December 25, 2012
Warm and cozy, a tad small, color good, not very nicely shaped though The price is good and I did need another jacket so I am keeping it. I bought it as alternate to another well used down coat. My older coat is a size 14. This new one , a Lands end large is supposed to be a 16. Doesn't fit any larger than the 14 down low, in fact, I think it's a bit smaller. However it fits well enough and is warm. I found the neck snaps to be very tight if I am wearing a sweater,so I'm not doing them, will have to rely on the hood snaps. The color is quite nice although i found the fit to be boxy and not as flattering as even on the plus sized model, which is disappointing. But the price is right and as long as I'm warm I can live with it. November 21, 2012
Beautiful Coat Soft, not puffy, and very nice fit. I think the Forest colour is more like a neutral taupe green. I love it and so does my husband :) October 25, 2012
