Love it, very vintage.
When I first tried on this dress, it felt a little big, but I did like the style. However, after I washed it, it shrank a fair bit, so now it fits perfectly.
So adorable and versatile, so easily accessorized to be saucy or sweet! Great for work and for going out in the warmer months.

Cute, but be prepared to iron
Love this cute dress, very vintage in shape, with a swirly skirt and fitted top with a side zipper under the arm. Easy to accessorize with belts, scarves, layered tank tops, etc. The only downside is that it came out of the dryer a wrinkled mess. It's going to take some serious ironing to make it presentable -- and I am NOT one of those fussy people normally. Wish it could be made from a no-iron fabric. If you have a narrower waist and a broad backside, this dress will hide your flaws.

Too poofy
Looks cute on the model, but it's too short in the petite to carry off the gathers (I'm 5'3" size 8-10P). It is not flattering. If you like the style, order a regular so you can get the extra length (though you might have problems with underarm depth). It is very well made and good quality material. I didn't return it because I kept thinking there is a way to "save" it.

Well sewn but underarm & sleeve fit unexpectedly large.
First the good: classic design & fabric, well constructed, and the hidden side zipper is a feature every dress should have. The sewn-down pleats at the waist do provide a flattering fit at the hip.
Then the bad/sad...there is so much fabric under the arms that the sleeves don't look set-in. Rather, they have a dolman (i.e., batwing) look when the arm is raised. When the arm is down, the excess material forms a fold on the back at each shoulder blade. Very odd, and very unflattering.
I ordered the size that the LE charts indicated for my measurements. LE: why are you letting your standards slip? I'm still wearing several LE dresses that are over 10 years old and fit just fine. Needless to say, I'm returning this one.

Can't believe I love this dress so much I'm reviewing it
Glad I read the size chart on this and ordered to fit my bust (44) which is usually the toughest fit in shirtdresses. This dress is perfect for my shape, which little in the middle but big on top and bottom. I ordered a 16W and it fits perfectly. Purchased on sale and feels much more expensive than it was, I just wish it came in other patterns. I do love the Sunday plaid. Classic cut. I'm 5'1 and it falls just below my knees, so I can see that being weird for someone tall.

Very comfortable and cute
I am 5'3" and 125lbs. and the 4 petite fits well. I received compliments from total strangers in the restaurant, grocery store and department store from younger women who all said "cute dress" and " I like your dress" when I walked by. Thanks Land's End.

Skirt is too, too short
There is no hem to speak of, and although I'm only 5'2", the skirt came to mid-knee. I'm of the opinion that a full skirt needs to be below the knee if you don't want to look like a little girl. At my age (64) that is NOT the look I'm aiming for.
What I've done to correct this is to take the tie belt and insert it into the dress at the waist. I now have a drop-waisted dress with a hem about 2" below the knee. Many women won't have the time or inclination to make this adjustment, and will probably just return the dress.

Shorter and fuller than pictured
Nice dress but beware that it is shorter and quite a bit fuller than what you see in the picture. I wasn't going for a 50's style. I decided to keep it because it was too complicated to send it back (international order).

Cute, But Too Big
I wanted to love this dress. It's 50s inspired styling is right up my alley. But, after trying three different dresses in two different sizes, it was just too big through the waist. The smaller size (4), while still to big thru the waist, was too tight across the bust. There is too much excess fabric at the waist for this dress to look good when the belt is cinched, as one would want in order to make the full skirt worthwhile. I returned all of them. However, the fabric is nice and the idea was a good one. Make this next season, but pay more attention to the fit!!

Great for pear shaped
I'm 5' & 135 lbs and bought the 8P in red. It hits right at the bottom of my knees. At first I thought it was too short and thought about trying the regular 8 but was afraid the dress would look frumpy. I really think the dress is pretty and fits lovely at the top. Really like the 3/4 length sleeves. So I kept the red and ordered the blue in 8P. It's a tad longer (maybe an inch). Both look good so keeping them both. Can dress up or down. Really happy with them.
