soft and comfy, but make the sleeves longer I was so happy when these pjs went of sale. The fabric is so soft and comfy. The pockets are nice for carrying kleenex. The colors were pretty. I just wish the sleeves went all the way down to the wrist for cold nights. March 30, 2013
LOVE THIS SET I am a petite 5' 0" tall, weigh 100 lbs. I bought the XS in the top thinking that would be okay. It was fine when I tried it but then I washed it and found it shrunk just enough to make it somewhat snug. When I visited LE store, I bought the Small size to replace the XS and that was what I needed. I have to confess I was reluctant to purchase these for fear of pilling. In my experience, flannel is so notorious for pilling that I have grown weary of dealing with flannel overall. These have turned out to be so SOFT, have not pilled AT all and I just love them! I also purchased around the same time another set from a well known and reputable line which I love BUT their PJ's were considerably thinner and not half as nice as these. These have a somewhat "lining" -- the other did not. These are warmer and thicker. As for the sleeves that many have mentioned, I can understand why they might feel unhappy with the length. If I was not so small I might feel the same way but because of my size, the sleeve length covers my entire arm. FWIW, LE -- if you are going to make flannel PJ's then definitely make the sleeves long enough to cover the arm's length. When it is cold at night the last thing a person wants is their bare arm showing, even a small part. Flannel PJ's are for the purpose of keeping warm in winter. Therefore, please make the sleeves full length. One more thing -- I have very sensitive skin and have trouble with harsh fabric sliding against it. These PJ's are soft and have not been harsh at all against my skin. In short, I LOVE them and the winter scene is adorable. January 16, 2013
Wacky fit! I feel like a clown in these. These are pretty pj's - I received the red plaid as a gift and was happy. They are my regular size. They even fit - that is - until I washed them. The pants still fit though bell bottom jams are a bit much. But the top shrunk even more. It's short, gaps across the chest, is tight in the shoulders, and the sleeves are crazy. How do you get them inside the sleeves of your robe without contortions? Awkward. I feel like a clown wearing this top. The narrow shoulders are just bizarre and really uncomfortable for sleeping. The sleeves are downright odd. I would not recommend these pajamas to anyone. Also, what gives that tops and bottoms are now sold separately -- for a combined $80 a pop? That's outrageous. I stopped buying at LLBean because I thought that Land's End still had better quality these days but I'm beginning to think that you too have gone the route of cheap, cheap, cheap. January 14, 2013
runs small I wear a large in Lands End clothing in EVERYTHING. I ordered this in a L, and XL, because I like pajamas to be roomy. The L was just plain too small. I thought the XL would work ok, but it shrunk too much in the dryer and pulled indecently at the chest. I ended up returning both the L and XL and finally ordered a 1X and that fit great, even after washing. So you might want to size up at least 1, maybe 2 sizes from your usual, especially if you're large chested. I actually don't mind the bracelet length sleeves--I always get long sleeves wet in the kitchen and end up pushing or rolling them up past my elbows, so for me the bracelet length sleeves are ok. oddly fitting well made pajama top I'm keeping this top because I love the pants, but it's really odd fitting. Very oversized around (by at least a full size) but oddly short. I knew about the weird sleeve length ahead of time, but the body length is short too. I actually double checked to make sure I didn't accidentally get a petite! I have to join the chorus and say it: I hate the sleeves. I was expecting 'above the wrist', but they're much shorter than that. My wrists get cold, but if I wear a sweatshirt or robe the sleeves just end up crumpled above my elbow. Not a fan! And they're so short it makes it hard reach up the offending sleeve and pull them down. Bad, bad design! All that said, the seems to be very well made. It did shrink when I washed it, but I expect that with flannel. The whimsical pattern is fun, and it looks like the pajamas wlll hold up well to laundering. January 7, 2013
Comfy, runs small I always wear a medium in lands end, but not in this pajama top. I had to send it back for a large. Otherwise, comfy, soft and just what I was looking for. January 6, 2013
Love these pajamas - including the sleeve length I received a pair of these for a gift and just love them - very soft and the fit is very comfortable. I'm surprised at the comments about the sleeve length - I think the length is great. I'm my constantly pushing up long sleeves, but find short or 3/4 sleeves too short for winter, so this is the perfect length! January 6, 2013
Cozy and comfortable! I treated myself to the red plaid pajamas for Christmas, and I love them. The fabric was soft out of the package and even softer after washing and drying (warm water, low heat). I am a 12-14 on top and wasn't sure of which size to buy, so I bought both the medium and the large. The medium fit a bit snug with no room for shrinkage, so I returned it at my local Sears store. The large was a bit loose before washing but fit perfectly after washing with slight shrinkage - not an entire size difference, though. I like that the plaid pattern on the breast pocket is matched with the main garment, and the contrast piping and covered buttons are nice finishing touches. Unlike many who have commented here, I like the slightly shorter sleeves on this top. They are just above wrist length and are perfect for me, since I am always pushing my sleeves up to keep them from getting in the way or getting wet when washing my hands. This top also has on-seam pockets on the sides, which are very handy for tucking things in. Recommended. January 6, 2013
Hated the sleeves Living in the midwest, why Lands End would make 3/4 sleeves in winter pajamas is beyond me. I loved the fabric and was looking forward to a new pair of flannel pj's for the winter. I was very disappointed with the sleeves - it's too cold for this type of sleeve with our winters. I returned them - unfortunately. January 5, 2013
It was returned to LE because of cost and quality issues. Was surprised January 5, 2013
