You need to be curvy
The pattern is beautiful. The top by the bust fit great, but was huge in the hips. Way too much loose fabric. I am a triangle shape and many of lands end swim tops run a little loose in the hips but still look good. This one unfortunately did not. If you are a pear shape, it would be perfect for you. Loved the pattern though and ordered it in the flounce mini along with a solid v halter top that I know fits.

Best Top EVER
This is the BEST top I have EVER bought.
It's hard to find a cute bathing suit for a plus size girl that still allows me to be a fun and active mom at the beach but this one lives up to ALL of my expectations! Thank you lands end for this item!!!
Advantages:
Super comfortable
Ajustable strings on the side if you need a little more or a little less room.
Ample bra liner
Crossing straps help to hold everything right where it's supposed to be! Halter necks always make me feel like my neck is being cut off, so this style of strap is perfect for those with large breasts.
Disadvantage:
A little larger than expected- would suggest buying one size smaller than normal... but who doesn't like to buy a size smaller than normal? Especially when it comes to a swimsuit!!!!

Love this suit
First off let me say this is the first suit that I was not embarrassed to actually walk around in.I felt comfortable at all times wearing this suit. I am a plus size and 5'7" I bought this for a trip to Cancun in Feb '13. I wasn't sure how a top and then a separate bottom would work/look on me. I got the top (Black Paisley)and 3 different black bottoms.1 skirt and 2 different shorts. Took pics of myself and got feedback from my daughters as to what looked best. The suit top fit great. I am large busted and the girls were held securely The straps are wider then normal and felt strong, although I think It would be nice if we had some adjustment to the length and the ability to uncross them if you like.So now I crisscross tan lines..Oh well. The side adjustments are great because you can make it looser/longer or shorter and covers the belly if you have one. I snugged mine all the up after trial and error. The regular tankinis were too short for me. I chose to keep both the shorts, one was quick dry and the other was the same material as the swim top. Sturdy fabric and it should last a long time. So when I got back home I ordered the Women's Beach Living Floral Paisley Halter Tunic Top in Black /White. So now I will certainly get in the water again and have fun.

most supportive choice for plus size
Of all the plus size suits currently available at Lands End, I believe this suit is the only one truly designed to support a plus size body. The fabric is thick and supportive. I've found the size to be fairly true to size. If you like your suit a little looser order one size up, however, most suits stretch out a bit/loosen in water. What makes this the best choice for plus sizes are the supportive thick straps and adjustable length. If you have a larger bust I believe this is the only suit available that will truly be supportive and provide some lift, even though it doesn't have an underwire. All of the other non-adjustable length plus size suits are very short. The adjustable length on this makes it flattering and a winner. The only reason I did not rate this suit as "excellent" is because I believe it could be improved by adjustable straps. However, if you want your straps tighter, you can have them custom tailored. I typically do that with all my LE swimsuits.

great color/pattern, a little "matronly" for my larger cup size
I put this on, adjusted the halter tie as tight as it could go, and still felt like a grandma in this. I loved the colors and pattern, but it just looked a little big on me and didn't do much for my 32D cups.
I ordered the size 4, which was overall okay, if a tad big. I"m 5'4", about 111 pounds and 32D cups.
Material/fabric seemed okay overall, maybe slightly less sturdy than previous beach living pieces..
I think halter style is not for me.
