Good shoe for the price
I purchased this shoe in nude patent leather and they are perfect to wear to work. I also purchased this shoe in the brown leather, which I think are more comfortable than the patent leather. The patent leather is tighter at the front of the foot...maybe they do not stretch as easily as the brown leather? I considered going up in size, but I think they would then be too large. I just do not plan to wear them on days that I need to walk longer distances, but for in the office, they are perfect.

beautiful shoe, wrong fit
I loved the look of this shoe and its high quality materials and construction. It was well-balanced so I could walk in it even though the heel was high. Unfortunately the front of the shoe cut right across the knuckle of the big toe, making it too uncomfortable to wear. I was so disappointed. I bought it in multiple colors and had to return them all.

Shoes were o.k. but the fit is off.
I never have troubles with shoe size. I am always a size 8 but I couldn't even get my foot in these. I have very narrow feet and if I could have got these on I think they would have been way too tight. They arrived with a scuff mark on the shoe and it looked to me as though someone tried them on, scuffed them and returned them so I wasn't impressed with that. I didn't care much for the look of them either. They looked cheap to me.

Gorgeous shoes, but the taupe had too much yellow in it. They went back.
The style was very attractive and I was excited about the simplicity, but alas, the color was way too far to the yellow tones. I am after a true neutral.

Almost Perfect
The fit is true to size. I have big feet, size 11, so I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well, and this one is great! The color is exactly what I wanted and the heel height is great for work and play. I couldn't give it 5 sailboats because even after wearing them a few times, the area where the ball of the foot nestles needs a bit more cushioning. I think an insert will correct this. Other than that, I would highly recommend this shoe!

OH MY GOD THEY CARRY MY SIZE and out of the box comfy!
Wow. I just have to say WOW! I put these on out of the box and instant comfort. They look like a pretty standard pump. Not too pointy, not too tall., Actually they are perfect (got the patent black). So comfortable! I cannot wait for the ridiculously high/platform pump to go away forever. That style looks dumb and they are horribly uncomfortable and unfortunately the norm. Then you have these beauties. And you add that my size which seems to be no longer available anywere is an option! What happened to my size? I used to able to get anything in a size 5.5. Now some manufacturers don't even make it!!! It makes me so sad. I will probably order more of these shoes because of the awesome. As for the person who was complaining the "nude" wasn't the color of her actual skin. Seriously?! Really!? That's so silly. I wish her good luck if she is trying to find a perfect match. I thought it was just a nice color for spring. I didn't think people were trying to find their exact skin tone! Also, what is wrong with leather soles? Huh? Why did that other reviewer want that? Leather soles is a sign of a good quality shoe? What did they want instead? Plastic? I don't get it.
Hoping and praying my size comes available in the cheetah print!!

Too tall for me
Unfortunately I will have to return these black patent shoes. They get top marks for looks and craftsmanship but the shoes I received measured 3 3/4" at the back of the heel. Also I didn't realise they had leather soles which was another contributing factor. Very disappointed they didn't suit because I've been looking for black patent shoes for a long time.

Narrow fit.
These are beautiful shoes, but definitely run narrow in the toe area. They were terribly uncomfortable the first time on and I had to return them. I feared the wide width would be too wide in the heel, where these shoes fit just fine. If your foot runs on the narrow side of medium, I suggest giving them a try.

They were a little cheaper looking in person, but overall a good shoe. Very comfy inside as other reviewers mentioned.

Great shoes!
I was looking for a basic, versatile nude pump for the longest time and I think I've finally found a pair that I'll keep! My problem with others that I've tried has been a total lack of comfort (crippling pain after a couple hours of wear), and these are very comfortable for a high-heel pump. As the other reviewer mentioned, they are well-padded inside and the quality is high. All-leather construction inside, so they don't make noises when you walk or make your feet clam up. Though I have yet to wear them out, I think they'll be comfortable for a long time. I usually wear a 6.5 in heels and 7 in flats, and I went with 6.5 for these (though it sounds like the other Ashby pumps have tended to run small). Definitely the right choice. They are very snug out of the box but because they're leather, they will stretch a little and mold to the foot after a few wears. The style of these shoes is more businesslike or work-appropriate rather than sexy or sleek. The toes are pretty rounded and the vamp comes up pretty high on the foot, so no toe cleavage here. But the heel is narrow, so I think they'd still look good for a night out. As for the color, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for (i.e., close to my skin color), but it'll do. I'm an Asian woman with slightly darker skin than most Caucasians, and the nude color in these shoes was too light for me. But they'll probably work for very fair-skinned people.
