Great Idea
The Velcro closure picks nylon and UV tops. Would be better if ties actually could make waist fit more snug and not slide down lower on hips. Comfortable fit for walking.

BIG LEGS
these are more like culottes than board shorts! Not even close to being true board shorts. Absolutely awful! I love the supplex fabric and wish more items were made with this fabric.

Good material but too big
I wear an 18 comfortably, in the swim skirt, so I ordered a 16 based on other reviews. Even a 16 was too big. If I hit big waves in these shorts, they are coming off. Should have ordered a 14.
Material was good, not too thin yet light enough to dry quickly.
The drawstring is there for decoration only. The fly is Velcro which could be a problem eventually if too much sand gets in it.
I'm returning b/c of size, but would exchange if they had my size in stock.

pros and cons
I tried them on at Sears and learned they run small. At 134 lbs. & 5 foot 5, I ordered size 8: they fit nicely over a swimsuit or panties. The waistband sits below the natural waist. They don't make my thighs look buldging out, and are very cute and stylish. The problems are: 1) The velcro at the front of the waistband immediately snagged on and ruined my suit! I'm going to take the velcro off and sew some hooks and eyes on instead. 2) Also the tie in front is cute but very impractical and difficult! You have to criss-cross lace them together to put the shorts on and then pull the laces apart to get them off-- big hassle to get on and off. I'm going to take that tie off and sew some hooks and eyes on. This being said, they are super cute for putting over my suit to hide my 61 year old thighs :-)

LOVE these swim shorts
I honestly love these shorts! I have them in 2 different colors. They do run big so I think you could actually order a size down from your regular size. It's hard to find shorts that are longer and these are perfect for that. They actually are as long as they look on the model and are VERY comfortable. Hope they keep this style for many more years!

Great structure, very pleased with quality
They are good, would purchase again if they had a draw string for the entire waistband instead of just in the front which really does no good.

Perfect length!
I read the other reviews that stated these run big Not what I found. I had to return them and order a size larger! I do love the fit otherwise, very comfy.

Get rid of the ties
Fit was perfect. Pain to get on and off. The ties make no sense and then they stick to the Velcro. I went with the other board short. If you redesign the waste band, I'd buy them.

Cute but fit off
Given everyone else's reviews, I ordered a size down from my normal size. The shorts were WAY too small. Not sure what's going on here, but based on the shorts I received, I would need to go up a size over my normal to get a good fit. Also do not like that the laces need to be pulled out to get the shorts on. Besides all that--they are cute.
