Cute but poor fit I always buy my mastectomy bathing suits from Lands End, usually one suit per year, they are always great. This top looked super cute on line and even when I opened the package. BUT when I put it on the cut was totally bad. Hello....it is a mastectomy suit for a reason....I can't show cleavage....the V in this suit went to my breast bone. Looked totally ridiculous. Back to shopping to find the right suit for this year. May 30, 2013
Problem w/ construction of top This top seems like it originally started out life as a tank top w/ straps straight up and back - and in the last moment it was decided that it would be a halter top. As a home sewer, I can see that there is not enough curve in the straps. The material chafes your skin above the armpit. So getting the halter to fasten behind your neck forces the fabric & seaming to strain and the bust to gap. A plus - they finally solved the problem of the floppy bra cup; it is much better constructed. But still had to return :( May 20, 2013
great fit This tankini top fits generously through the body - no pulling or stretching through the torso. Be aware that it runs a bit longer than usual in the body length. September 18, 2012
Not what I expected Usually I love Land's End swim suits, and it is the brand I buy most. I love the Aqua Terra line especially, but not this top. It was too loose and bunchy. September 15, 2012
not up to usual lands end standards I have ordered many lands ends bathing suits and am always happy with them. This bathing suit top fit well and was top quality material. The major problem with this top is that the clasp around the neck does not fit properly - the plastic part does not slip into the material loop, so the bathing top is completely defective and can't be worn. Also, the padding in the bra is not attached to the material and it falls out of place. Very disappointed - I don't like returning items and have rarely had to before. September 2, 2012
Fit well, but did not like it on my 53 year old sloping shoulder body Fit well, but did not give me enought support or compliment my 53 year old sloping shoulders. August 19, 2012
Good quality fabric Love this top, but wish it had more than one location to hook at the back . Not all women are the same size. I need to tighten it behind my neck but am unable to . Other than that it is a great product. August 18, 2012
Works, Sort of After 2 inches of sewing on the front wrap opening of this mastectomy tankini top, it now fits and is attractive. But it's not comfortable and stretchy enough like all my old Lands' End bathing suits were. My old LA mastectomy suits were comfortable enough to wear all day! PLEASE rehire your old designer/manufacturer and share some basic goals: A mastectomy top needs to: 1. be very flexible and accommodate lots of different sizing needs on the left and right. 2. be sewn with elastic thread and not contain metal and bands or ribbons that don't stretch. 3. contain breast pockets with large enough openings (but not too large openings) to accommodate forms. 4. not gape open, but also not chafe--my ideal is a soft top with a shelf bra (like a good cami). Please offer all mastectomy suits in Petite and Tall. Your suits can be #1 again. Some non-mastectomy people might like pocketed bathing suits to just increase their breast appearance without surgery. August 8, 2012
great suit but fades quickly This looked awesome on me when i got it. Size 6-i'm usually a size 8 in other clothing. I wore this for 4 weeks, and it is all faded. August 6, 2012
Love the color and cut but it was just a bit too small I really love the cut and color, (sky blue/green mist) and the suit was flattering even though it was tight. It was snug around the chest, under the bust, so that the fabric didn't drape as nicely as it should. I was disappointed that it didn't fit, since I read the reviews, most of which said the fit was right on. I even went through the trouble of measuring myself, and bought what I thought was the right size. I would have exchanged it but unfortunately the next size up was sold out. Same problem with the swim shorts. I tried the suit on about four times, trying to talk myself into keeping it, because it was so cute. In the end, though, I sent it back. August 4, 2012
