Women's AquaFitness Butterfly Scoop One Piece Swimsuit with Tummy Control 2.4 5 10 10
Too skimpy, especially shoulders I have been buying Lands End swimsuits for a couple of decades. This is the first time one did not fit properly. I am 5'10" and somewhat broad-shouldered; it is very difficult to get the shoulder straps on and off, and the straps are uncomfortable while I am swimming. I will try the Long Plus, but the quality of Lands End products has been steadily declining, probably since they were bought by Sears. May 5, 2013
it would be so much better without the tummy control I wanted to love this suit, but I don't. Its one of the few plus size suits that has a simple shelf bra with no hideous padding or uncomfortable underwire. I like the straps that cross on the back. It should be the perfect suit for getting in the pool and actually swimming. The problem is that the inner 'tummy control' liner is like a straight jacket, its so tight its hard to put the suit on, or take it off, or breath, while the outer layer hangs loose and swishes around. i managed to make it functional by cutting out most of the inner layer, even then its both too big and too short for me May 1, 2013
Very nice looking suit I am 5'5", 139 pound, slightly short-waisted, toned (not muscular). All my clothes are small six'ish and all my Lands End swimming suits are size 8. This one in size 8 is too loose everywhere specially on the breast area (34B) and if it was a tad tighter it would fit beautifully. I am keeping the size eight but I am planning to order size 6 on this model, a first for me. Even loose it makes a beautiful figure and it has beautiful lines. I am not sure about the fading, I have not worn this model long enough (one month) to know. On the other hand, swimming pool swimming kills all your swimming garments with a slow painful death. I have never had a swimming suit that lasted more than four months (I swim 1 hour three or four times/week) They all begin to stretch and loose their shape and finally they scream for a quick burial before they completely disintegrate. I have tried numerous Lands End models, Hanes (shortest life span) and Spedo and all of them have more or less the same life span. If anyone knows of a swimming suit that can take chlorine better, I am all ears. April 22, 2013
The Swimsuit FADES AND LOSES SHAPE after ONE MONTH I swim four days a week and got one of the chlorine resistant swim suits last year (they no longer carry it) and loved it, I have had it for a year with no problems. I decided to try this swim suit I have only had it for a month it is FADED and has LOST IT'S SHAPE so it no longer fits properly. For the price of the suit I would expect more. If you do serious swimming DO NOT get this suit you will be disappointed. March 4, 2013
color faded quick I loved the fit and flattering style but after 2 months of 3X week pool swimming my suit is so faded I cannot wear it anymore. January 30, 2013
happy with this swimsuit, so far I have been wearing this suit since the beginning of the new year (swim in it once per week - my distance is typically 1500 meters per swim). So far, I REALLY like the suit. It fits well, for the size I ordered (based on the LE Fit & Size guide for my measurements). I love the snugness of the fabric when I get the suit on - both dry & after getting into the pool. I would say I have only 2 observations that could be perceived as criticisms, but I still really like the suit - 1) because of the compression built into the fabric, it takes a little "work" getting it on (I could see this may be an issue for someone with shoulder problems); 2) the way the strap is designed it leaves a light rash where my arm & shoulder meet (I assume from the rubbing as I swim). I hope that my skin will become accustomed to this after a few more wearings, and the rash becomes a non-issue. This rash has not been painful or irritating at all, just looks kind of funny for a day & then disappears until the next wearing. I bought this suit to replace another chlorine-resistant suit that I had been wearing for almost 3 years. The fabric in this LE suit is rated as being chlorine-resistant also, but it is different & I hope it stands up as well as the last one I had. I guess only time will tell! January 25, 2013
Need More Length I am on the tall side, but can usually get away with wearing a regular-length swim suit. This one was way too short for me and I had to return it. If it had a couple of inches more in the length, I think I would have loved it. It seemed very sturdy and had good support. January 5, 2013
Small in the chest Since I wear a plus size, I figured this suit would be cut for someone with a moderate to large bust--nope. I'm a DD and I was bursting out of this when I tried it on. When I ordered it a couple of weeks ago, the website didn't give an option as far as bra cup size, but now it looks like it is giving that option. Since that was the only problem with it--it was a nice, thick material, the way the back is cut is flattering and great for lapswim--I think I'll give this another go now that I can select the correct bra size and see how it goes. Hard to put on and take off, didn't fit. I had high hopes for this suit, so much so that I tried it in 4 different sizes, regular torso, long torso, etc. None fit. I'm full-figured with a large bust. I lap swim and was looking for a suit that wouldn't show so much cleavage when I'm face down in the water. (Not amusing when you're splitting lanes with other swimmers.) First of all, the straps are very difficult to get in and out of. It's real wrestling match. And I'm pretty sure that after 10 or so swims, I would have stretched them out so much that the suit would lose bust support. Second, the suit just doesn't fit. Either it's too small or when it's big enough, the bust area is all loose and puckery around the top. #sad because it really looked like the right suit and real performance suits in my size are hard to come by. Chest flattening suit I didn't keep this swimsuit because it was so tight over my chest area and made me look flat. I have smaller sized breasts as it is and it did not look flattering. December 8, 2012
