Love these boots!
I think I read all the earlier comments at least twice before I took the leap and ordered these. I am 5'2" and my calves are approx 12.5". These boots hit me right below the knee cap and are only slightly loose when wearing jeans tucked in. I usually wear a 7 in all shoes, but taking into account that most stated these ran narrow, I ordered a 7.5 and I am glad I did. I think the 8 would have been too big, as they are all leather and will stretch a little after I get to wear them:) All that being said...they are really beautiful! I love the color ( I ordered the brown). I have been looking for a pair of taller brown high heeld boots for months now, that didn't cost $$$ and these really fit the bill! I love that the toe is not pointy and they are all leather. I could not be more pleased with the fit of these boots!

Love them!
I went back and forth with Zappos, trying to find the perfect black boot in the price range of approx. $100. I could not find anything decent within my price range. I was excited when these boots came down in price since I've had fairly good luck before with LE boots. They are absolutely beautiful. The heel is a little too high for my preference, but even so, they're extremely comfortable after the first wear. I've read the other reviews about the calf being too tight, but this has not been an issue for me. I have fairly regular-sized calves, not muscular or stocky, though, and they do fit snug on me, so if you have larger calves then this boot probably isn't for you. If you're have a normal sized calf, then these babies are perfect, lovely, sexy, and even expensive-looking, solid quality. So happy I bought them!!

LOVE these boots!
These are the pair I'm keeping after ordering and returning about five pairs from various manufacturers over the past few years, including Ralph Lauren. These are great boots for me because I've have a slightly narrow foot and very thin ankles and calves. I look like a little girl playing dress up when I wear most boots. My calves are 13.5 in in circumference and I wear an 8.5N to 8.5M shoe. These look and feel great on me. I bought black and now have ordered the brown!
It took about three wearings to wear in the ankle support to the point of true comfort and it took about four trips in the car before I could drive a manual transmission with this kind of heel. But I don't mind. I love them!
The only improvement I would make is to widen the stiletto heel just a hair and made it stacked instead of leather covered. I'm going to have to battle with sidewalk cracks in these.

Way too tight at the ankles; disappointed
I am 5'4" and of average body weight (range of 135-140) and have normal ankles and cafs. I wear boots similar to these throughout the fall/winter and have never had an issue with boots not fitting my ankles and cafs. I read all of the reviews before purchasing (size 7) and saw the reviews about the boots fitting too tight around the ankles. I figured since I am 'average' size and never had issues with ankles & cafs these boots would work for me. I was SO DISAPPOINTED when I put these on and I could barely get my foot into the boot (even with the zipper to the very bottom). The left boot seemed to give me less problems getting them on (which doesn't speak highly of consistency of the product) but still very uncomfortable. Lands End will only receive my business for stylish tall leather boots (I usually buy 2 pairs, brown & black, when I find a boot that is comfortable since I wear them so often) after they redesign this boot.

LOVE this boot!
In general I love boots. It's one of the easiest ways to pull your get up together and make your legs look better. But it's not so easy to find a pair that fits my style and athletic legs. I bought the black for the holidays and ordered the brown during this unbelievable sale. I wear a 6.5 generally, but in boots I wear a 7 and they fit perfectly. My foot is on the wider side, they are fitted but not narrow and was very comfortable all day. I am a SAHM of 2 and in my everyday life I don't have the occasion to wear beautiful high heeled anything but I am so happy to have these for when I do as they go with everything. Stunning to look at, beautiful and versatile to wear and I didn't have to pay a fortune for them. Thank you LE!

Very narrow
These boots are beautiful , but they are really narrow. Based on other reviews, I ordered one size up. I couldn't even get my foot in! I have average size feet and legs
I think you have to be very slender to wear these boots

Great look but awkward fit
These boots are gorgeous, and have great classic styling. I followed previous reviewers suggestion and ordered a half size up. Great decision because the shoe at the arch fits rather narrowly and I'll have a little room at the toe box.
The boot is rather stiff right out of the box, which I attribute to the type of leather used. The shaft of the boot is a little snug for me, but then again they usually are. I have a calf circumference of 15" so if you're close or larger than me, you'd be wise to avoid this selection.
Jury is out on whether I'm keeping these boots. I'm going to wear them around the house a bit more to make the call. They're very pretty. The fit is just not great.

Strange design at top of boot!
What a disappointment! The leather is really nice, the heel is a nice, attractive hieght, but very comfortable...these could've been perfect. But, THE TOP OF THE BOOT IS JUST BIZARRE. The top of the outer-side of each boot is curved up about 2 inches higher than the inner-side, and gaps out about 2 inches from my leg. I do have very slim legs, but it's never been an issue for me when buying tall boots before. In my 40 years, I've never had boots fits this poorly. I looked ridiculous, like a swash-buckling pirate or something. One look and they were off and packaged up to return.

Very nice boots!
I bought these boots in black and have worn them several times. The leather is high quality and they are comfortable as well. I tried several other brands before purchasing these but all the others seemed to be way too wide for my calves. These fit great, are true to size, and look classy with a sweater dress and tights. I would definitely recommend them!

Comfy, chic, versatile
Love these boots. They're the most comfortable high heel boots I've ever owned, and they're super chic. Perfect with skirts, dresses and skinny pants. I have muscular calves but the elastic panel in the back is very accommodating and virtually invisible. I highly recommend these boots!
