The more you learn about this sandal the better it gets. Like the upper for example. Using fine, full-grain leather is why it looks so good. Same goes for the leather-wrapped heel. The buckle ankle strap has an elasticized insert for a little extra “give.” And the footbed is padded to cushion your step. All at a great price — that pretty much speaks for itself. Imported.

Love the look, but not the feel
I was so excited about wearing these sandals. They looked perfect with several dresses in my wardrobe, and I love the style as well as the color (gunmetal). Unfortunately, they did not work out for me, because they were too uncomfortable. The straps were cutting into my pinky toes and the balls of my feet were aching. I wasn't doing a lot of walking, so I know these shoes are not going to work for me. I think they may have worked if they had padding on the insole (especially on the ball of the foot, where there is a lot of pressure), and if the edges of the straps were rounded rather than cut and squared. I write this in hopes that future shoes will be of higher quality in this regard, with making sure the shoes will be less hard on the feet. I really appreciate Land's End's policy of accepting returns, which encourages me to remain a loyal customer. Thus, I am more willing to take another chance with their shoes. And I am very satisfied with the other products that I have ordered for myself and my kids.

Fabulous and comfortable!
I don't know what LE is doing with their high heeled shoes, but KEEP IT GOING! I love these sandals in gunmetal and wore them all day with NO discomfort. I'm an avid runner who is picky about my footwear.

Insole doesn't have a good support
I was looking for a comfortable gray sandals with high heels, so I was excited when I found these. Even though the price was a little high ($95) for sandals that are made by Lands End, I ordered them and hoped they were good. Unfortunately they have to go because they are not comfortable enough. Because the heels are high, the insoles should provide a good support, but they are thin and not cushy. I expect both beauty and comfy when I pay that kind of price...

Love, love, love these sandals!
Perfect fit, great quality. I will be wearing them to Las Vegas with my dressier evening outfits. The heel is a little lower (that's what I wanted) than most dressy sandals I have tried but the ankle strap makes them appear to be taller.
