The best baby blanket ever made!
This blanket, and the pink blankets, alike, are the very best baby blankets ever made. I have purchased numerous of them and every, single one is absolutely the best quality, the softest, and the most durable of any baby blanket ever made. You can call me and I will give you a very long list of parents for whom I've sent these blankets and, believe, me, each and every one has thanked me profusely! LOVE LOVE LOVE this blanket - and it's the perfect gift!
We received this monogrammed blanket as a gift when my son was born. It was so soft and cozy - he used it the first night he slept in his crib (around 3 months) and it's been his blankey ever since! Obviously I know you're not supposed to have blankets or anything else in the crib when baby sleeps so I won't suggest that someone else do that, I'll just say that the "lace" of this blanket is perfect - I felt comfortable that he could breathe through it with all the holes but they weren't too big that his little fingers or anything got stuck. He was a winter baby and I felt like it kept him from getting chilly in the middle of the night. After almost a year of using the same blanket every day and night, it's held up well through constant washing and is still very soft - if anything, it shrinks a little with washing but that's fine because it's a generous sized baby blanket. Because he loves it so much, I recently bought 2 more - one for when he starts daycare (hoping the familiarity will help him nap there) and one as a "spare". It's also become my "go-to" baby gift and I've bought 3 more at different times for friends and neighbors. Everyone loves getting this personalized gift for their little ones! The girl's blanket is just as cute as the boy's. My only suggestion would be, stick to just the first name or one line of text - for one gift I tried the full name on three lines but I don't like the way it looks as much. Also, I noticed with the newer one he has, in the morning he sometimes has fuzz from the blanket stuck to his hands - he tends to be a sweaty kid and after two washes it was fine - I would just be aware of this with a new blanket in the warmer months.

not the best balanket
I was excited to get this for my infant son. I also bought the pink bunny one for my 3 year old so she would not feel left out. It looks cute in the photo and almost all the reviews were outstanding. The blanket arrived and was cute, but the material was extremely thin. I was willing to overlook that since I was expecting it to be more of summer blanket. However, when I went to wash it I realized I did not like this blanket. In its first washing the fabric pilled really bad. I had blue and pink fabric balls all over. I dried it on low and when I opened the dryer door a bunch of fluff came flying out. I removed the blanket early and let it air dry, but the whole thing had balled up pieces of fabric on it and they kept falling off all over the place. I shook it out and fluff flew around my house. What a mess.
So now I am left with a blanket that looks ratty and worn. I showed the blanket to my husband and he said it looks really old. I expected it to look this worn after maybe 6 months of use at least. Anyway, not happy with it and thought about returning it, but it is embroidered with my son's name, so I don't think that is an option. Maybe the quality used to be better, but this is not a special blanket like the other reviewers said and I would not send it as a gift to new parents.

Love this blanket!
This is a BEAUTIFUL, FUN, EASY, FUCTIONAL baby gift to give! This was the second time I've purchased this blanket for a gift. The new parents loved it and loved having the monogram with their baby's name and birth date on it.
I had to re-order because the monogramming was done incorrectly the 1st time; but LE made it right and had a new one to me within 4 business days. THANK YOU Land's End!

Perfect Gift
I have given this blanket as a gift one to many times to remember. So much positive feed back from family/friends such as "it's perfect not to heavy and not light" ... "love the name on it" ...when it's their second kid they are thrilled to get it cause they know how much they used the first childs. I can not say enough about this blanket .... simply a wonderful...perfect baby gift! Thanks Lands' End for a great blanket!!!

Ideal Baby Gift! Great for Nursing Cover...
These are THE SOFTEST most comfy all cotton blankies I've come across. I had one that wore out after three baby boys, and reordered for our newborn. These are great for baby's comfort- especially in the warmer months, but also ideal for a nursing cover as well. It offers the modesty needed for nursing, and with tiny holes in the Scottish lace it allows baby comfortable breathing without the stuffiness of other thicker, warmer blankets. 5 Stars. Coming from a mother of 9, this blanket is an IDEAL baby gift! :>

My son loves it!
My youngest son really loves open-weave blankets that he can look through and they're not as easy to find as you'd think. This lightweight blanket is now his favorite for cuddling with and playing peek-a-boo. It's very soft and it's also small enough that we can take it along with us when we go out. We've put it through the wash several times already and it's holding up well. I hope Land's End continues to make these blankets because they are awesome.

Best baby gift ever!!
I just love these blankets. My daughter had one as a baby, and it must have been washed 100 times. Still looks great--she is 12 now! :) A wonderful and useful keepsake that I have given as a gift many times.

Perfect Baby Gift
This blanket is very high quality, washable, and can be personalized to make a superb baby gift. I have purchased at least twenty of them over the years and they are always very much appreciated by the parents. Just be careful: If you give one to the first child in a family, you have started a tradition--and if they have ten kids....
