great pillow, just not for me since I sleep on my back. Wish it came in soft.
I wish this pillow came in soft. This is a lovely pillow, but too thick for me because I sleep on my back. I am keeping it for guests. Perhaps LE responded to earlier comments, because I cannot imagine that this pillow in medium is not thick enough for most people.

Not what I expected for the price
I have always been very satisfied with Lands' End's products and am a repeat customer. However, this pillow what not dense enough, and just not constructed like a $180 pillow should be. Returned the item. I will continue to buy from Landsend, though. First time disappointed.

Not the density of former pillows - poor quality!
My wife and I bought a couple Lands End down pillows a couple years ago and loved them. Recently we decided to buy new ones. The old model number could not be found so we went for the best they now have. That being this model. Upon opening the box it was easy to see these were not the pillows we expected. They were light and had barely any density. Placed one in a pillow case, Barely any head support. We took them to Sears and returned them.
Not sure what the future will bring to Lands End but if their quality does not improve they have lost our business forever.

Old pillows a five, current pillows inferior
I have several of these pillows. The current ones are NOT the same as those reviewed in the 2011 and earlier reviews. The old pillows had a very high down fill and hold their loft for a long time. These new ones are definitely not as high fill. You would hope that for such a high price that the loft would hold for a long time. I agree with the other reviewer who says these now lose their loft after a few short months.
Additionally, these used to also come in a queen size. The standards are a little short for a queen case.
VERY disappointing.

A little disappointed
We have purchased these pillows several times in the past and the quality was outstanding. We are a little disappointed this time because they quickly lost their "loft" and fullness. We still love them and just wish that they maintained their fullness as well as ones have in the past. It only took about 3 months for them to loose the fullness and now they require that we plump them regularly. For the price, they should last longer than this.

Worth it!
I'm very picky about my pillow, and this is the best I have ever had. I've been on a quest to replace my 25-year-old Land's End down pillows -- I tried cheaper ones from other places, and regretted it. This pillow has enough down to be firm and supportive to my neck, yet it is soft and luxuriously pliable. There are no feathers, just down, and so there are no poking feather-ends and no rustling or crackling as with other pillows I have tried. Simply delightful!

Great pillows
I ordered 2 king size and 2 standard pillows. The king is the best pillow I have ever owned - perfect amount of fill and super comfortable. The standard pillows seem a little 'over-filled' and you don't sink into them like the king size. I definitely recommend the king size, the standard I am kind of on the fence as I like them but would prefer a little less fill.

Soft, but thick
This was a beautifully soft pillow. Very stuffed. However, I had to return it. When sleeping on my back, it was plump enough that my head was just to high off the bed. Hard on my neck.
Also not a pillow I would recommend for tummy sleepers.
If you like your head a little fruther off the bed (double pillows?) or if you are a side sleeper, this may be a great pillow for you!
