This chair is woven seagrass shaped around a strong frame of mahogany and rattan. Seagrass is an ocean plant that grows in light-rich shallows. When harvested, plaited and woven, it dries as a lightweight, rigid — and easily renewable — option for building furniture and more. The included seat cushion is firm polyurethane foam with a zip-off, 56% polyester/44% cotton woven cover. Wipe chair with damp cloth. Machine wash cushion cover. Imported.

Very nice! I ordered two of these, and they arrived very promptly. I sort of held my breath as I sat down in one, because I wasn't sure what they'd be like; but I am quite happy with them. The cushion isn't as hard as I thought it might be, and the arms aren't scratchy, as I thought they might be! In fact, it's a very comfortable chair! Very deep, so nice for curling up in! But I will probably have a lumbar pillow made to support my back. June 15, 2011
I love this chair, but... ...I'm glad I ordered it during a 40% off + free shipping promotion. I love seagrass, and the chair is well made and very attractive, but it is SO small and low to the ground. I'm keeping it in the bedroom as it is way too small for the living room. It is way overpriced for it's size. January 3, 2013
Very small! I ordered two of these chairs for our house in Florida. Although the chairs themselves were attractive, they were beyond small. Please review measurements prior to ordering. Honestly, they could have passed for high-end children's chairs. April 21, 2012
Pretty Uncomfortable I bought this chair on sale, which is a good thing, because I found it to be quite uncomfortable. The seat cushion is stiff and there's no back cushion sold with it, which causes you to sit far back in the chair. Even with the cushions I bought for the back of it, it's still pretty unpleasant. If you have a bad back, this chair could be a problem for you. Seems to be well made and it is attractive, but I bought it to sit in not just look at it. I would have sent it back, but I needed a quick-ship chair and this one was on sale with free shipping. Will have to buy different seat cushion for it and hope it makes a difference. Kind of defeats the whole sale price thing, having to invest in a cushion, but it's the best hope to salvage this chair. Surely wouldn't buy another one. Not sure how it received good reviews, but different strokes for different folks, right? January 29, 2012
