School Uniform Short Sleeve Oxford Shirt 3.2 5 10 10
Excellent This shirt fits true to size. Not only is the quality excellent it is nice and thick, I just wouldn't put fabric softener on it when I wash it. It will make the shirt too soft and I usually let it hang dry. April 13, 2013
Bring back the fitted version My daughter is required to wear this oxford shirt each week for chapel. The fitted, feminine version of this shirt was much more stylish. I'm so disappointed that I have to buy this sloppy version. January 4, 2013
Please bring back the old oxford! So baggy! My daughter has worn the older, fitted version of this shirt and it has been her favorite! We will be returning these unfortunately. It is so baggy, it looks sloppy and fits uncomfortably under her jumpers because of this. Lands End...if you ever consider your reviews please bring back the old oxford. This was a shirt we would have bought every year at least for the next 7 years and sadly, we will not now. September 4, 2012
Perfect! I ordered these shirts after ordering from two other places. The fit is perfect, the quality is unmatched! Along with the uniform skorts I ordered, I will never get uniforms anywhere else! Superb quality along with off the charts customer satisfaction and easy return/exchange has earned a life long customer! September 2, 2012
I can't go to school looking like a boy!! I bought this shirt for a school uniform for my sophomore year in the light blue. The darts are awkwardly placed and therefore rendered useless. The shirt was very baggy and made me look sloppy and unprofessional. The sleeves are almost too long to be short sleeved. I felt very masculine even tho I have narrow shoulders and am petite. I would not recommend this for a young woman/girl. It will hurt her confidence and have her wondering if maybe it's just her that is so boxy. The most unflattering shirt I have ever gotten. I really like the fully feminine shirts they had with the nice cut and the capped sleeves. It was pretty and now its gone. Does anyone know where I can find that shirt? Because unless it i brought back to Land's End, my family and I will take our business elsewhere. August 24, 2012
Bring Back Feminine Fit Lands' End, Please bring back the girls' feminine fitted oxford blouse. I just received this "new and improved" blouse for my middle-school-aged daughter as part of her school uniform. It seems nice enough for what it is. But I really miss the previous few years' "feminine fit" short sleeve oxford with banded sleeves and fitted in front and back that my older daughter had when she was in middle school the last two years. My daughter hasn't had a chance to try it yet so I cannot truly report on the fit. But the unfortunate effect of the new changes?squared arms and shoulders and eliminating the fitted seams from the front?result in a more masculine look for a girl who is growing into a young woman. The boxy cut is not as neat a look as such a blouse poofs more when tucked into a skirt. This is especially true on petite girls. Why did LE get rid of a good thing? Thankfully the collar is not button-down or there might be confusion between her blouse and her brother's dress shirt. No girl wants her clothes confused with boys' clothes. Please bring back the (fully) feminine blouse. Note: I see that the ruffled-placket SS oxford has the fitted seams on the front and the banded sleeves. Unfortunately our school disallows ruffles. If this new and "improved " (not!) blouse is too blousy for my daughter, I am considering returning it, buying the ruffled-placket blouse and cutting off the ruffle. The disappointment is all the greater because LE usually has some of the best uniform clothes of any uniform clothing supplier. Now the offerings are more like everyone else. Too bad. August 14, 2012
The shirt is a great fit. This shirt is very comfortable and durable. Would recommend. August 6, 2012
size problem THANKS FOR BRINGING THIS UNIFORM SHIRT BACK. IT WASHS WELL AND COMES OUT OF DRYER WITHOUT NEEDING IRONED. PROBLEM: MY DAUGHTER IS 13 AND JUST OUT GREW THE KIDS SIZE. I CHECKED WITH YOUR UNIFORM SIZE SPECIALIST AND THE CHARTS ON LINE. FOR MY DAUGHTER'S MEASUREMENTS A MISSES SIZE 4 WAS RECOMMENDED. MY DAUGHTER LIKES LOOSER CLOTHES SO I ORDERED A SIZE 6 JUST TO BE SAFE. IT FIT IN BREAST AND BELLY AREA BUT SHE COULD NOT MORE HER SHOULDERS AND THE ARMS WERE TIGHT. I HAD ORDERED 6 OF THESE SO I SENT THEM BACK. I REORDERED A SIZE 10 LADIES AND SIZE 11 JUNIORS. THEY ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL. THE LADIES 10 HAS A LITTLE MORE SHOULDER ROOM THAN THE JUNIOR 11. I WILL NOW ORDER SEVERAL IN LADIES 10. IT IS A LITTLE BIG ON HER BUT LOOKS PROFESSIONAL WHEN TUCKED INTO HER UNIFORM SKIRT. MY DAUGHTER DOES SWIM COMPETITIVELY SO MAYBE HER SHOULDERS ARE BIGGER THAN AVERAGE BUT SHE SEEMS PROPORTIONAL TO ME. NOW THAT WE HAVE THE CORRECT SIZE THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD MAKE THIS SHIRT BETTER IS IF THE COLLARS BUTTONED DOWN SO THAT SCHOOL TIES STAY IN PLACE. August 5, 2012
Comfortable, easy-care, good fit. This shirt comes out of my dryer soft and almost completely wrinkle-free. I have it in pink, white, and chamois. It has been comfortable during this hot Richmond summer, and I think it will work well with sweaters during the other seasons. The sleeves are long enough for those of us who dress modestly. This shirt seems to be cut a little bit more roomy in the hips than a lot of other shirts. I often have to purchase other tops one size too large so that they will fit over my hips and tummy smoothly, but this one fits me just right in the shoulders, bust, and hips. I'm grateful to have found it, because it is my new favorite year-round shirt. July 30, 2012
Just Hideous I ordered this shirt in pink and white earlier this week and was waiting for the package in anticipation. Tomorrow, I am going to the Post Office to return these. I have never been so disappointed with an Oxford Shirt. First, the blend of 60% cotton/40% polyester was just like some material from another planet. I have mostly 100% cotton Oxfords, but I have never felt a blend like this. It was scratchy and felt slick to the touch before I even put it on. And, I think it's time to redesign because the fit was awkward to say the least. It fit well across the bust (I'm a 36B), but the darts were seriously misplaced toward the bottom. It felt stiff and like they should have been placed further down or something. The sleeves were not like an Oxford. The sleeve was like a modified cap-sleeve that someone did not know how to sew. Just looked VERY CHEAP! This is my third time trying something at Lands' End and I won't be trying again. July 13, 2012
