School Uniform Pleated Plaid Skirt

LOVE THIS SKIRT!
I purchased my first school uniform skirts several years ago, not because my school requires them but I'm a fan of high quality classic plaid skirts. The pleats stay in place, the fabric is indestructible, the length is perfect(hem will just skim the floor when I kneel). It just so happens that the burgundy plaid is a terrific match for my school's maroon color. To break out of the tiresome jeans and school sweatshirt mode on Fridays I've jazzed my school wardrobe up with these skirts,coordinating vests, sweaters, and leggings. I always get compliments and now, with a little help from me and your last TERRIFIC sale almost a dozen of my coworkers are now "rockin' the plaid" as well. It's a great (and more feminine) way to show school spirit; they slightly freak out coworkers or students who have prior experience in parochial school; they revive fond memories in others;they delight some male co-workers with those lame school girl fantasies; and we enjoy teasing our students by claiming to be wearing these skirts as a "pilot program" for a future uniform. My coworkers call themselves the plaid squad(make it rhyme!).

Love these skirts !!!
I love a good high quality skirt, and these fit the bill...The fabric is good, the length perfect, just above my knees, the pleats stay in place and the colors are wonderful...I now owned at least one of each color. I use them not for school, but for everyday casual wear and working out and around the house.....Love the look of them, very comfortable and easy care...

Custom Length!
Thank you so much, Lands' End! My daughter is a slender teen who has grown taller without getting larger. Her school's mandatory uniform is this style in knee length - but she is too small for the women's. What could we do? One call to your representatives put me in touch with a specialist who took several measurements and had a skirt made to order in the correct length for a $10 extra charge. We are so grateful. Oh, the skirt is great - she just tosses it in the washer and dryer [or hangs it to dry] - and it is good to go. I don't think 17 year old girls iron anything.....and this time that works!

pleats do NOT stay
This skirt is part of our school uniform and my daughter wanted it in the worst way. Against my better judgment because of reviews regarding the pleats, I bought it for her. The reviews are correct, the pleats do NOT stay after washing and the skirt looks horrible unless the pleats are ironed in again. As both my daughter and I think this skirt is beautiful, I am dismayed that Land's End advertizes the pleats as permanent, when they are not, even when washed according to instructions. I dislike ironing these pleats, but I do anyway so this skirt looks as advertized. It is her favorite and I love how it looks too, but I wish Lands End would have the pleats sewed in, like other pleated garments they carry.

Perfect fit and comfortable
This is part of my school uniform. I actually like wearing the skirts more than the pants. They are that comfortable.

This skirt is a perfect fit for my plus size daughter.
My daughter wears this skirt to school. I love how it fits her. When I washed it there was no shrinking, fading or wrinkling.

Nice skirt
Nice skirt, but does not have the adjustable waistband like the pants and shorts do. The pleats stay pretty nice, but not perfect after washing.
