worth the money
I have purchased cheaper pants, only to have my son go through the knees after only a few wearings. These pants are worth the extra money - I haven't had to replace any since school started, which has to be a record for us. They wash well and still look good several months later.

I love these pants!
This is my first child in school uniforms so I decided to do my own test sampling of pants. I bought a variety of name brand pants to compare and Lands End exceeded my expectations. They remained a crisp navy after many washings and attempted knee blow outs on the play ground. They also iron very well. I am so pleased, I am buying more to replace the ones that did not with stand the trauma of a kindergartner.

Good quality that seems like it will last!
I know that Lands End will stand behind this item and replace it if we are ever unsatisfied!

Hole below the iron knee
The second time my 6-yr-old wore these, he got a hole in the knee just below the reinforced knee area. The patch is too high! My kid is average height & weight and was being a typical boy on the playground, playing on his knees, when the hole appeared. Need to fix this, Land's End. The pants seem well made otherwise (so 3 stars), but it just wasn't worth the money for the iron knees.

Very durable pants that don't need ironing and clean up very well!
This is part of my son's required school uniform, and I have been very pleased with the quality, appearance, and durability of these pants. The adjustable waist is GREAT, and he thinks they're quite comfortable!

Stains stay on pants
Been a satisfied LE customer for almost 5 years and this is my first review:
PROS: The good things I can say is the slims fit my skinny son very well and these pants are definitely wrinkle resistant.
CONS: I bought my son 5 pairs of these pants for school and noticed something wrong with them after the very first wash when a simple pencil mark wouldn't wash out. It went down hill from there: no matter what we use to wash these pants from high end detergent to old fashion cleaners like washing soda and borax. NOTHING took the basic everyday kid stains out of these pant. I would have sent them back if it weren't for him needing uniform pants.

Poor Quality
I used to buy these pants and they would last at least an entire season. They must have changed manufacturers because the pants i bought this year for both my sons haven't lasted more than 6 weeks. They get holes in the knees.

Knees ripped out very quickly
I expected the knees to hold up better than they did. Both my boys ripped through the knees (10 & 7 yrs old). Yes, they are worn more often than other pants, as they are school uniforms.

Poor Quality
I bought my six year old son 5 pairs of these for kindergarten. Basically that means he is wearing the same pair once a week. They have ripped and worn out below and above the knee patches within a couple of months. The other pants I bought at a local store that were not a huge brand name have lasted longer than these. Shame on you for charging this price for garbage!

great fit!
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate the fit of these pants. I have three sons, two who are a slimmer build and can wear just about anything I put them in. My third son is huskier with slightly shorter legs and a much smaller rise. The thing I like about these pants is he can wear them without the crotch hanging halfway to his knees like a bad pair of pantyhose, or having to hike the waist all the way up to his armpits. He is just simple built differently. No he is not an overweight child but proportionately his waist is bigger than my other sons so finding pants that fit him is a challenge. I don't know what I would ever do if you discontinued these pants. In case this helps, my son is 5'1", 10 years old,117 pounds, inseam 28, waist 32, rise 6".
