worth the money I have purchased cheaper pants, only to have my son go through the knees after only a few wearings. These pants are worth the extra money - I haven't had to replace any since school started, which has to be a record for us. They wash well and still look good several months later. December 24, 2012
I love these pants! This is my first child in school uniforms so I decided to do my own test sampling of pants. I bought a variety of name brand pants to compare and Lands End exceeded my expectations. They remained a crisp navy after many washings and attempted knee blow outs on the play ground. They also iron very well. I am so pleased, I am buying more to replace the ones that did not with stand the trauma of a kindergartner. November 5, 2012
Good quality that seems like it will last! I know that Lands End will stand behind this item and replace it if we are ever unsatisfied! October 27, 2012
nice looking These pants look nice and fit well. However, I bought 4 pairs last year and three of them have holes in the knees. My son only wears them to school - not to play. I wish they were a little more sturdy. May 28, 2013
"Iron" Knees? I guess iron just isn't made like it used to be! My son ripped a hole in the knee of these pants after wearing them only a few times. The brand of pants that we buy at the uniform store lasts for the whole school year and then some before he can wear through the knees (actually he grows out of them before he can get a hole in them). While I realize that Lands' End will replace them, it's a hassle to return and rebuy, when I can go to a local shop and buy pants that will last for over a year. Otherwise, they are very nice pants - and the ones we have are virtually brand new - albeit with a hole in one knee. May 21, 2013
Hole below the iron knee The second time my 6-yr-old wore these, he got a hole in the knee just below the reinforced knee area. The patch is too high! My kid is average height & weight and was being a typical boy on the playground, playing on his knees, when the hole appeared. Need to fix this, Land's End. The pants seem well made otherwise (so 3 stars), but it just wasn't worth the money for the iron knees. April 28, 2013
Very durable pants that don't need ironing and clean up very well! This is part of my son's required school uniform, and I have been very pleased with the quality, appearance, and durability of these pants. The adjustable waist is GREAT, and he thinks they're quite comfortable! April 27, 2013
Stains stay on pants Been a satisfied LE customer for almost 5 years and this is my first review: PROS: The good things I can say is the slims fit my skinny son very well and these pants are definitely wrinkle resistant. CONS: I bought my son 5 pairs of these pants for school and noticed something wrong with them after the very first wash when a simple pencil mark wouldn't wash out. It went down hill from there: no matter what we use to wash these pants from high end detergent to old fashion cleaners like washing soda and borax. NOTHING took the basic everyday kid stains out of these pant. I would have sent them back if it weren't for him needing uniform pants. April 16, 2013
Poor Quality I used to buy these pants and they would last at least an entire season. They must have changed manufacturers because the pants i bought this year for both my sons haven't lasted more than 6 weeks. They get holes in the knees. April 10, 2013
Knees ripped out very quickly I expected the knees to hold up better than they did. Both my boys ripped through the knees (10 & 7 yrs old). Yes, they are worn more often than other pants, as they are school uniforms. March 30, 2013
