School Uniform Plaid A-line Skirt
Skirt is cute cut but too long, must hem and my daughter is tall.
Material thin. Not I what I would expect from lands end.

I hesitated to purchase this skirt based on some of the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found the waist to fit nicely on my average-sized child. The material is a little stiff before washing, but they do soften up after they've been washed. The length falls to her knees. The only thing I would change is to add an adjustable waist band, but these skirts work well for us. My daughter likes the pocket. I would purchase them again.

Not lined, like other Lands End uniform skirts
While this skirt is adorable, I was surprised to find that it was not lined with what we in our family call "secret shorts", which is a definite drawback when looking for uniform skirts for the pre-K set (think of all the sitting on the floor and going down slides...). All of our other Lands End plaid uniform skirts have the shorts underneath, so I was expecting the same for this skirt. That having been said, it is nice to have the sizing option of "Slim", which does indeed fit slim, and it fits my 35-lb 5 year old very nicely. The navy blue colors are great and coordinate well with the navy blue polo and interlock shirts by Land End. Due to the lack of liner shorts, I would wait to purchase these until they go on sale, or wear with leggings underneath.

Vivid colors and fits well
We have worn Lands' End uniforms for years now. They launder really well and fit nicely.

Easy care fabric, washes well no ironing required

Has a square shape and is too short
This skirt is not appropriate for most school uniforms. For some reason Land's End doesn't
make any of their uniform skirts to fit below the knee, which is a normal requirement for a
private school. This skirt is shaped like a box--the waist is as wide as the hem! Too bad
we can't use it, because the fabric is soft, unlike most school uniforms.

Impossible sizing, poor fabric
This product has been made out of cheap material and feels like cardboard. The sizing was so off that we had to have several rounds sent to get the right fit even though the second time around I used one of the Lands End customer service people to help. It was still way off. The Jr. 3 and the BIg girl 16 are the same size except for the elastic waist in the 16. By size chart they both would fit my child barely, but were huge in reality. Very frustrating since they are a uniform for school. PLEASE PUT ACTUAL SIZING INFORMATION ONLINE FOR THE CUSTOMERS TO BE ABLE TO MAKE AND INFORMED PURCHASE!!!

The skirt is the perfect match to our school's plaid.
It is longer than most uniform skirts hitting just below the knee on my daughter who is 5ft 6in.
Great fabric, holds its shape.

I'm disappointed with the Junior size fit
We buy our uniforms from Land's End and have been very satisfied until we purchased this skirt. My daughter is a normal shape for a size 5 or 7. The size 5 is huge in the waist and tight in the hips. We had to then go to a size 7. We will have to get the skirt professionally altered because the waist is VERY large now but the hips fit.

Skirt is perfect fit for my thin daughter
The fit was perfect for my daughter who is thin as most skirts are large in the waist and when they are have tabs for cinching it makes the skirt baggy in the waist. We just wish it could be sold in solid colors as well. We are always looking for skirts that are just below the knee for school. This skrt fit the bill perfectly.
