School Uniform Long Sleeve Oxford Shirt 2.8 5 6 6
Woman's cuffs and plackets too narrow & buttons too small I like the dark blue color but the fabric seems coarse and on a larger woman's size the small buttons seem too tiny. The front placket and the sleeve cuffs were each too narrow. Although this is the first time I have tried anythng from their school uniform category, the styling of the entire blouse just seems off compared to the traditional Lands' End quality I have known for more than two decades. "straight jackets" to keep your kids "straight" While I am not a particularly fond of oxford shirts, these,I am even less fond of. The material is stiff and not comfy, especially for kids to wear. Also, they are sewn funny- they fit tight across the back. I purchased this for both my daughters in two different age groups, and they both had them fit tight in the back. After several returns, we finally got the correct bigger sizes than they wear, but still not happy with them. The buttons and button holes are very small too. It will be interesting to see how much longer it takes to get dressed in the morning as my daughter had problems just trying them on. Overall, it has not been an enjoyable experience. In lands end defense, there customer service in return has been pleasant, just not the hassle of returning or exchanging them in the first place. I'm not sure if the kids will be able to concentrate on school work, since they will probably be thinking about how uncomfortable they will be. October 27, 2012
Good quality but not a great fit As usual the quality is great, fabric and color. The only problem with the shirt is that the the sleeves run slim so we had to go up a size which made it a bit more comfy at the sleeves but wider on the body. Went from a 1 to a 3 junior size. Still kept them because my daughter likes them. Just wish the sleeves were a bit wider. October 27, 2012
too snug for my little bug when looking @ the shirt I thought it will be just right, how wrong I was when my daughter said: "no wonder nobody likes to wear this". She has a petite frame and I was surprised @ the fit. maybe with a little washing the cotton will give a little more and become less snug. September 16, 2012
good quality, bad fit you keep changing the sizing on this shirt each year, and it has not gotten better. now that the slim-fit look is in style, you need to add additional sizing options. my 10 year old slim, average height daughter wants to wear the size 7 (8 is too "blousy", 10 is huge) but the sleeve length is just. there should be a slim option for tops like there are for bottoms. three of my friends tried this on their daughters and had the same problem. i love the quality of your shirts compared to other companies, but please add a slim or "tailored" look. Finally The Oxford shirt That Fits I'm thrilled with this shirt. It is a heavy weight and works perfectly as an over- layer, (light jacket) in summer. I've always liked the Oxford Shirts but the fit, for me, was off. They were always too big, boxy, short, and if I went down a size then the sleeves were too short. I went from a size 10 in regular to a size 6 in tall and it looks so much better. I am only 5'6' tall but have longish arms and like the extra length in the bodice. Would love to be able to purchase it in 100 percent cotton but at least it doesn't have spandex in it! Also would like a pocket for reading glasses. Still, this shirt is a good find! June 29, 2012
