Great school uniform skirt; good value; washes well
This is my 10 year old daughter's favorite uniform skirt for school. The long chino skirt definitely goes to her knee and is great with the built in shorts. The skort washes well - I haven't noticed any shrinkage. No ironing necessary after dryer. Adjustable waist is very helpful. Great skirt.

the last 2 skorts i bought have started to rip were the material meets in the back just above the knees.
I wish it could be made stronger were the material meets in the back at the bottom.

Excellent choice for my daughter.
My daughter prefers skorts to skirts for school. This skort is very comfortable and just the right length.

Inner Shorts Too Short-waisted for Tall Girls
Last year the 6x worked fine in this skirt - great quality and fit was fine except when leggings were involve. But we discovered the inner shorts did not get taller when moving to the size 7 and that has posed quite a problem for my daughter, who is on the tall side for 2nd grade (about 4'2" or 4'3"). The inner shorts are just too short-waisted. I talked with a representative online when purchasing a second outfit - I suggested that if I ordered an 8 SLIM, we would get more height - he told me the 8 is not any taller (neither crotch NOR inseam). There are only two outfit options for my daughter's school - so we bought another jumper instead. Note: The waist fits average - my fit rating (above) is all based on the height of the inner shorts. Your daughter should be completely comfy if she is on the short side. But as for mine, it looks like next year we will put together a wardrobe consisting of ... jumpers.

Professional, comfortable, easy care too!
Why don't I just buy one for every day of the week? This makes getting ready for school so easy and comfortable. I sit on the floor with little ones, and this skort is the best!

Lands End quality for sure!
Great material (Lands End quality for sure). Love the adjustable waist for a uniform skort (finally!) The inner shorts are a great, stretchy, movable fabric, but slightly short waisted. I was hoping to get more than one season from this, and could from the skirt, but the inside shorts are going to be too small next year.

Great color and superb quality!
Lands' End Quality is second to none! Service is also superb, can't be beat!! Naturally the quality of this skirt lived up to my expectations. This will be my daughter's first year wearing Chino skorts (and Polo shirts) as a school uniform. My girl is on the petite side so I ordered her slim at first. The cut turned out to be too straight and fitted; it fit her too snug in the waist and hip area so I had to exchange it for a regular smaller size. That turned out to be a better fit for her. It was a little big in the waist but thank goodness for the adjustable elastic strips! It was roomier in the hip but I'm glad because she will need the roominess for her floor work. Thank you Lands' End! I'm so grateful that her school is using your company as the go to place for uniforms! VERY impressed by Lands' End!

Very nice quality
Nice quality of fabric and workmanship. This skort resists wrinkles and holds its shape nicely. Flattering fit. It was a little long for me, so I had to shorten it, but the other short length skort was too short for office wear. I wish it had a pocket and was offered in more colors.
