Better than local uniform store's vests
Nice quality uniform vest. I purchased for my daughter because she is uncomfortable layering the drifter sweater or fine gauge cotton sweater under the fleece jacket (all Land's End uniform products) and I was worried about her being too cold. She likes the novelty of wearing the vest as few kids at her school choose to wear them (she is 6yrs old).
This version of the drifter vest is a finer knit than the drifter sweater (I think the unisex drifter vest has the same knit as the sweater). I like the look of the finer knit but not sure if it is as warm as the thicker knit.
The sizing is spot on, a little big but you need to allow for a little shrinkage with 100% cotton. I haven't washed it yet but I am sure it will hold up better than the acrylic ones the local uniform store sells (those look horrible after 2 or 3 washes). The only reason I am giving just 4 stars is I can't vouch for the wash wear.

Nice Material, But Fits Very Big
I bought this vest for myself for work because it's the only women's sweater vest I could find for under $50. The material is nice, but the sizing is way too big. I wear a 36 in the bust, so I choose the Women's small based off the size chart. When I got it and put it on, the vest was twice as big as any of my other tops, even when I'm wearing a thick shirt under it. Originally, I had tried to buy an extra small, but the small was the smallest size available. It would be better if this vest came n extra small as well, so I could at least have the option of exchanging it. Also, I ordered the Red and the Maize colors, but both are much lighter in real life than the pictures on the website.
