Quality not the same as it used to be
We bought several of these shorts in both navy, and khaki when my daughter began wearing uniforms back in 2009. The first couple of years the shorts wore and washed great.
However, in 2011 when we bought new shorts in a bigger size, they all began to unravel at the hem of the legs. First one pair, then a second, until all but the older shorts had unraveled!!
Some happened so quickly into the school year I still had the packaging and was able to exchange them for new pairs. However the new shorts did the same thing as well. For Mom's who sew, this may have been something they could have fixed, but shouldn't have to.
I cannot purchase these shorts anymore due to the reduction in quality. I am not sure what changed, but these just don't last like they used to.
Also, just for LE employees who may read this, please go back to the old length for uniform skirts. All the older skirts I am able to get from consignment sales are longer in length by one to two inches and work great! Any new skirts ordered from LE recently are 1 to 2 inches shorter. This really makes it difficult to find a skirt that fits well in the waist, but also meets the "skirt at the knee" requirement by the school. Thanks for your consideration!

Look like new after many many washings.
My daughter wears navy bike shorts under her uniform jumper and Land's End are the best so when she needed a black pair LE was the first place I looked. They keep their color better than other brands and are very comfortable. The waists are a little bigger than expected but she'll grow into them eventually.

A MUST have!
Perfect for under the school uniform. Nice material, excellent length, great colour choices (tan, navy and black) and easy to care for. Love these!

Best school bike shorts out there
I've tried other non-athletic brand name for bike shorts for my daughter to wear under school skirt but none is as well made and durable as this one. I got 4 in black. They can be worn to pair with short dress as well. Very versatile, just wish it came in white color for pairing with her summer outfits.

Bigger Sizes?
Please consider offering these bike shorts in juniors and womens sizes. Middle and High School girls would like non-bulky stretch shorts under their skirts too.

Long lasting!
Great to wear under school uniforms. This is the second pair. She wore a smaller size for 3 years.

Great for school
My daughter is required to wear khaki bottoms to school but doesn't like to wear twill. These shorts are a great compromise. They are sturdy and hold up to many washings. She is skinny and these fit great so they may be a little small for sturdier kids.

Nice for under jumpers
These bike shorts fit well, the elastic does not bind, or roll, and they are perfect under dresses and jumpers at school. The length is just right too.

Good fit
These bike shorts are a good fit. They have kept their shape after many washings. The legs are on the longer side. My daughter is tall so it does not bother her.

A smooth covering for under dresses.
I bought these for my Granddaughter, at first she did not want to wear them under her dress, but when she saw how much smoother they were than the shorts she was wearing under her dress.....she was fine....a pairing with any dress or jumper.
