best short for boys
this short perfect for everything from school to play. I have purchased for few years now. they wash well but for me I make sure to wash inside out to prevent fading. I would love if there was a sweatpant just like them.

Very durable yet soft!
I bought these shorts for my kid's gym uniform. One of my kid's is super "picky" about her clothes, especially the feel against her skin. Well these got her approval! So glad that LE offers these shorts!

Hefty Shorts
I order these shorts for the beginning of the fall school year. They are a bit hefty making them perfect for cool mornings. My son commented yesterday that he wanted to wear a pair to an amusement park we were going to because they "are so comfortable."

Great shape, but needs elastic waist for little ones
I thought these would make good gym shorts for my 6-year-old son. I would have rather had them in plain, lightweight cotton (rather than fleece), but I thought I'd give these a try since cotton shorts were not an option. When I received them, the fleece was soft and seemed like it would work fine in the mild/cool climate we are living in now. But when my son put them on, they had only a drawstring wait, no elastic at all. Once I sinched them up, they did fit, and they looked nice on him. But he's not efficient at tying bows, and even for an adult, I think that it is more comfortable to exercise in pants/shorts with at least some elastic give at the waist for ease of movement. Perhaps these shorts would work with this design in the older kids (though still wouldn't be my preference). But for my 6-year-old at school, these shorts are simply not a practical option. I sent them back.
