This Fine Gauge Cardigan is a classic from way back, and ours is made the way it used to be. Namely with old-world, fully fashioned construction — meaning the pieces are knit to fit your body's natural contours, then hand-linked together for practically invisible seams. We add rib-knit trim on the sleeves, neck and bottom that won't droop out of shape. All in pure cotton for warmth with breathability, and softness next to skin. Machine wash. Imported.

Great school uniform sweater I have been pleased with this sweater. We get a couple for each of my daughters at the beginning of the school year, and they have been washed once a week and are still going strong, some of them after two or three full school years. There is the usual fading, but all of the buttons are intact and they are still in perfectly acceptable school condition. November 6, 2012

Shapeless mess after washing I was pleased when I removed the sweater from the package but after washing it became a shapeless mess. It is light weight and it hangs in wrinkles. I would definitely return it if I thought Lands End would accept it after washing. I do not recommend this sweater for anything other than maybe outdoor yard work. It does not look at all professional or crisp. It is slouchy and unattractive now. October 11, 2012

This sweater is the perfect weight My girls love these sweaters for school. They are the perfect weight to wear in the classroom when the AC is running or in the winter when the heat is going. I think that they run a little small so I would buy a size up. September 16, 2012
