A classic vest!
This vest is nicely constructed of substantial weight,quality cotton. It will last for years(I've bought them previously). It does have a boxy fit and you can wear it over a variety of underpinnings. Great color, perfect for my school. My school does not have uniforms(just a school color day every Friday and at assemblies) but I wish they did because the LE uniform items are SO nicely constructed and often can be found at phenomenal sale prices. I actually ordered 5 additional vests to pass along to coworkers(at no profit to me)so they can have another option for showing school spirit and, mostly, so that they can get hooked on LE like I have. Would also be perfect for vest fans in general, not as a school uniform.

Not very flattering.
The cardigan is super nice quality, but it is too short and too boxy of a cut for girls. It also doesn't hold the true "deep navy" color.

Good Color but not accurate on computer screen but the fit was as expected
I purchased the School Uniform Drifter Sweater Vest in evergreen for my very slim and athletic 9 year old son for the holidays to coordinate with the holiday dresses that I had for my daughters.
The green is as saturated as it appears online but it is more green like a pine tree (as I hoped). The material is very nice not too heavy or light. The length was perfect. The fit was loose over a collared shirt and undershirt but that was as I expected.
There are not a lot of perfect options for boys that have broad shoulders, average chests and a narrow waist. I am constantly cinching in pants and dealing with loose shirts on him so a little loose over the belly was fine with me as it hid the bulge created by the bunched fabric of his slacks.

Too short. :(
I love this vest (I've always had an affinity for sweater vests) my only problem is that it is too short! I had to go up a size in order for it to be acceptable, but I could do with another couple inches at least (I'm size small usually - 5'7 140lbs. I do have a long torso, so it would probably be fine for most people. I just wish it came in tall sizes. :(

This sweater vest holds it's shape, but the navy fades quickly.
I have ordered several of these drifter vests over the years in yellow, red, but mostly in navy because navy is my son's school uniform. The yellow and the red keep their color, but the navy fades after a few washings, even though I wash in cold water. I love everything about this sweater vest--the weight and durability of it--except for the fact that the navy fades quickly.

Soft, comfortable, kids love it
How many times do we need to say that our children have strong preferences about their clothes? So my son was very resistant to wearing a vest but the soft and comfortable sweater vest has won him over. Thanks, Lands End!

the vest looked as it did in the catalog, the monogram was correct. it could be a little softer. the knit was stiff.
The vest is a required piece to my kids uniform. The color and monogram were really nice. I wish the knit would have been a little softer. The size also runs big. But overall it was as expected.
