Practically Perfect In Every Way
My Kindergartner has three of these, two white and a blue, and she has literally worn them every day of the school year. They have held up AMAZINGLY well! I prefer the white; because of the number of times they need to be washed the blue has faded a little. I wash both of the white ones weekly, and scrub the sleeves, and even after all of that they have absolutely no pilling, and very little shrinkage. I have been very pleased with the quality of most of our uniform purchases through Lands' End, but the sweater is by far my favorite.

Excellent quality
We have purchased this sweater for years and as always it is excellent quality. Thick, but not bulky. My daughter wears it to school when the rooms are chilly. They last over 2 years of almost daily wear.

The size was off... and then it shrunk. And faded.
The 'fit and size' scale for this is way way waaaaay off, and then it shrunk. A lot. And the color faded. I bought this sweater at the beginning of the school year for my daughter to wear with her uniform (August), but she never needed to wear it until late October and now, by the beginning of February, it's worthless.

Sizing too small
Very disappointed. Nice sweater, but the sizing is way off. I bought one for my grandson in the same size as polo shirts I purchased at the same time. It was much too small, so I returned it for the next biggest size. It's still too small. Rather than sending it back and losing more money through postage, we'll probably keep it for little sister.

sweater shrunk in length
I bought the sweater for my 16 year old daughter for school. We ordered it a little large anticipating shrinkage. It did shrink -- but only in the length. So now it is too big in the width and too short in the length. I bought it at Lands End knowing they have a great return policy, and I will be returning it.

This navy blue sweater loses most of it's color, even before being washed!
I purchased this sweater for my 11 yr son to wear with his school uniform. When brand new, the sweater fit well and looked nice. However, after my son wore the sweater a few times, the sweater began to lose most of it's color and looked faded. Even before being washed! I will have to look somewhere else for a better quality cardigan. I have previously purchased my children's school uniforms and their outwear from this site and have never had any color fading issues before.

size chart not unreliable.
size chart is very unreliable, He fit within the guidelines but sweater way to small.
He weight 86 lbs is 4'9" sweater too short arms and lenght. You recommended M, I would think from the way it fit probably a xl, . You did make it easy to return.

Very well made, comfortable. Even my picky daughter likes it.
I got this for my daughter as part of her school uniform. She actually likes it! (A very picky kid!) It is versatile enough for her to wear to school and over dresses to church.
