Waaaaaay large
Ordered a size 12 for my 11 year old and it is more like a size 16!!!!! Reordered a size 8. Otherwise, a lovely and well made skirt. Shipped perfectly and has a nice texture.

Perfect for my tall height!
Unlike the other reviewers, I am a 17 year old who wanted a quality skirt, not as a uniform. I am 5'11" and got a size 10, as the size chart directed me. It was a tad loose around the waist, so I should have gone a size down, but I can still wear it. I measured the length from the waist and it is 18 inches long. It hits above my knee, slightly past mid-thigh, and is NOT too short. Trust me I hate extremely short skirts as much as parents do, but I had no problems. The pleats are sewn into place so there is no possibility of coming undone. I doubt that your daughters are as tall as me, so I don't think the length should be an issue. However, the lengths have to be different. I ordered in the adult size.

Too Short!
Have to return it because it was too short. Size 7 is the same length as a 6 but waist is too big. Dimensions link on site item is dead.

Shirt to short
This shirt was to short on my daughter, loved it had to return it. Would be nice if in the write up they would put how long it is from the waist.

wrinkles impossibly!
I am very disappointed with this skirt - and with the equivalent skort version. Both get wrinkles that are practically impossible to get out. I ironed for 30 minutes without great success. Mainly, the bottom hem folds up upon washing, and stays that way forever. I would have nothing to do with this skirt, and the skort version, if it were not for the school uniform requirement. I gave it two stars rather than one, or none, simply because the elastic adjustable waist is practical and the color isn't fading quickly.

The skirt is nice n good material....
it runs small... And it doesnt specify that on the web site... Had to return it n pay for return postage... So i was disappointed...

Nice Skirt
My daughter has been very happy with her skirt. Held up nicely in the wash. Pleats have stayed nice and crisp. Fits a little big.

I was disappointed in the quality
My children have worn uniform skirts for years. Our school required this skirt this year. I found that the skirt wrinkles easily, even coming out of the dryer. The pleats do not lay nicely either. I normally like Lands End products but sadly this one disappoints.
