School Uniform Athletic Pants 3 5 23 23
No stripes please Like the product in general but the dress code at my son's school does not allow for anything with stripes down the side. He doesn't like your sweat pants because the only option for boys has elastic at the bottom. Please make a plan version for dress codes. Thanks! February 10, 2013
These pants rip easily These are the athletic pants for our school uniform. I have had to buy several pairs because he always gets a small tear in them that turns into a huge hole. I see several boys at school with the same problem! January 14, 2013
length control? Great pants but they should come in length choices. Are all men who wear a L the same height? They would be perfect if there was a choice for length. November 4, 2012
Nice looking pants, not durable for gym class! These pants are very nice looking, they fit very well, but hold up well, they do not. We are not even four weeks into the school year and my son has already ripped the knees on two new pairs of these pants. His school requires these for the PE uniform and unfortunately there is no other option allowed for pants. Lands' End, please can you make these pants more durable in the knee and from a more sunstantial material? September 30, 2012
Length options desperately NEEDED! My son's school requires these as part of the gym day uniforms. WE NEED LENGTH OPTIONS! My son generally wears a 31 waist and 32 length. The men's medium size fits at the waist but they are way too long. These pants cannot be hemmed due to the ankle zipper and school logo embroidered on the pant leg. Because these are too long, the pants drag on the ground and they wear horribly. After just 10 gym days, walking/running on the cement, the pants fray at the bottom and it just gets worse as the school year progresses. Please consider offering these in short, medium, and tall options. After talking with other parents in the school, we have found that this is an issue for MANY people, with some whose children are taller and need even longer length. July 14, 2012
I love the fit! I purchased these pants w/jacket, and I now have an expensive looking jogging suit. I am very excited about the zipper on the side of the trousers which allows me to flare the legs and this is more my style. I didn't believe the fit would be so perfect considering an online purchase, but it feels almost tailored. I will continue to purchase from you, and I will definately tell my friends, as long as they don't purchase the same items! Thank you Lands End. June 9, 2012
These gym pants are a great quality I think these pants are a great uniform addition! They are made well, and the material is light.. Perfect for gym class, indoors and out. They run a little long, but so are my sons legs, so they fit them perfectly. I purchsed a 10-12 size for my 9 year old, and a 12-14 for my 10 yr.old. March 17, 2012
Pants are nice and comfortable but tears too easily at the knees! These pants are my sons school uniform so unfortunately we have no other choice. They seem to be comfortable but way too thin for a PE pants. These long pants are worn during the winter months for him so Im not even sure they provide the slightest warmth outdoors. But overlooking that aspect it is not durable enough at the knees. He's a first grader and not a rough kid at all. Only worn once a week and they only lasted 5 months! Torn at the knees. If LandsEnd is in the business of making school uniforms I wish someone from the corporate office would read these reviews and make some changes. School uniforms need to be durable to last- I think the entire school year! The knee areas are a must! Now I have buy another pair , which is why Im on this site again or somehow iron patch the torn area before it gets any bigger. February 25, 2012
The good and the bad of it This athletic pant is required for our school uniform, so that's why we purchase it. The positives are: my 10 year old son loves these athletic pants and would wear them every day....they fit well....and they are attractive! However, the bad: the material is paper-thin, so about every 2-3 months, he comes home and the pant leg is flapping with a ripped tear. Usually, the tear is at the knee, then rips up and down the pant leg, so that the whole leg looks shredded. My son loves PE but is not really the aggressive player-type. He plays tennis and golf for outside sports, and doesn't enjoy contact sports. He's an easy-going boy who does love PE but would be just as happy reading a good book on a comfy couch. I say this because, if my son is coming home with shredded pants, and he's not all that crazy into contact sports and roughhousing, then I'm sure every boy who buys these will shred these pants. But in the meantime, they will love them and they will look neat and attractive. Lands End needs to drop the price, though, since they only have a useful life of 8-10 weeks. December 1, 2011
Thin fabric ripped at the knees My son only wants to wear athletic pants so we have many different brands. I was surprised when these ripped at the knees. Typically we don't have that problem and I was expecting so much more from Lands End. They look nice, fit well and I was hoping these would be his "good" pants. Too bad they ripped after just a few months. I would not buy them again. June 5, 2011
