Stake your claim to some sprawling beachfront property; our 78″-long towel gives you a foot and a half more length than the standard — and 10″ more width. That’s more towel to wrap up in, to dry off with, to stretch out on. With durably crafted hems and edges that won’t unravel. The pattern on the soft velour front reverses on the back’s terry loops. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

Towel; 39″Wx78″L

Disappointed that reverse is plain white. The velour side is nice and soft and the towel is huge. However, the description said that "the pattern on the soft velour front reverses on the back's terry loops" - but it doesn't, the reverse is plain white which is a bit disappointing. I would recommend this if you don't mind a plain white back but I prefer the spotty towels (with reversed pattern on the back) I got at the same time. May 22, 2013
Quality has gone way down I bought two Lands End beach towels about five years ago, and they were great quality. Soft, fairly thick, well made, so as they had gotten stained & old and had been demoted to dog towels, we needed new ones. I received the rope towel today, and it's a huge disappointment. The fabric is thin, scratchy and boardy, not soft and thick. The short ends of the old towels have a two inch contrast edging, and a decent thick selvage binding on the long side. These new towels are just turned over and hemmed on each side, and the sewing is extremely uneven. It looks unprofessional and cheap. What has happened to Lands End? You used to be known for quality, even if the styles were rather staid. Then it went to a few items were cheaply made, and it was usually easy to pick them out and not order them. Now it's the opposite I'm afraid, Lands End sells a few items that are good quality and the rest is discount store quality. Bring back the old Lands End, and bring back my old beach towels!
