If you want your pup to look as good as you do in your Quilted Down, choose this. The 100% nylon shell has a water-repellent finish and a warm lining of our exclusive antistatic ThermaCheck® fleece. The batting isn't down (of course) but 100% polyester fill. Coat slips over dog's head and secures with an adjustable strap. Reflective side strips alert drivers during nighttime walks. Machine wash. Imported.

Good value, nice quality, very pleased.
We are very pleased with this jacket. Quality of construction is excellent, love that it's waterproof, and like another reviewer, I appreciate the design that gives our dog tummy coverage on wet walks. We purchased a medium for our shaggy haired Wheaton/Bichon mix. He is 20 pounds, low to the ground and longish. This coat covers his back nicely and he can move in it without restrictions. No problem going over his head. The only adjustment I've had to make is the length of the straps...they are just too long and have too much excess left after putting it on our little guy. I'm handy, so I've just added a bit of velcro to the end of each, crossed them over, and secured them under his tummy. Not a hassle at all, and we ended up with a great coat for the price.

Looks good but doesn't fit well
My pup keeps growing faster than I can keep up, so I was swayed by the sale price. The quilted design works well and looks good, but the fit is highly irregular. I ordered a small which fit my 9 lbs dog fine in the dog, but was very difficult going over his head both on & off. This one is going back and unfortunately, I have to keep shopping for another winter jacket.

Good underneath coverage
This is a very nice dog coat. Its primary benefit--and why I ordered it--is that it gives coverage on the dog's stomach, which would be nice especially with shorter dogs walking on wet sidewalks, to keep their bellies warm and dry. It is also a good practical weight, not too heavy nor too light, and seems well constructed.
Unfortunately, it didn't fit my 20 lb. dog very well. I measured her for a size small, which did not fit over her head (though the rest looked like it might fit o.k.), and the medium was too large; the straps dragged on the ground. Too bad--I would have loved to have this as spring and fall coat for her!

Poor design
The coat fits great but as an earlier reviewer noted, the metal cinches have both pulled away from the vest after only 3 wearings. Shoddy design.

Really Pleased
I didn't read any of the other reviews for this product BEFORE I wrote my review. I think that's important, as we are very pleased with the product, the monograming, and, as always, the tremendous customer service from the Land's End folks. We opted for the Quilted Green jacket in size small for a Toy Poodle. Over the years we have ordered several Squall Parkas for our dogs. This coat exceeded our expectations in its quality of form, fit, and function. We did compare it with the "pet retailers" (no need to name their names), and this coat surpassed anything they were offering. The price is perfect! Thanks too, for the thread color change we needed for our little gal!

Excellent!
This jacket got daily use for about 6 months straight and has held up well. I wash it in a frontloader on gentle cycle and hang dry. I have a 70 pound slender, but deep chested and long coonhound mix and the large fits her well. Could be a little longer over the back but since it fits so well everywhere else we are happy. I love the design...very easy to slip on and adjust and it stays in place. This fits/ works much better for my dog than the velcro at the neck LE fleece jacket and LE traditional squall which tend to sag over her shoulders in front and impede full range of motion.

Poor quality and dodgy sizing
Disappointed! With two wearings, the nylon webbing holding the catches in place have begun to pull our from their stitching. On both sides of the coat - so a design flaw, not a row of bad stitching. Also, purchased a medium and a small for two close-but-not-super-close-in-size dogs; the medium was enormous, and we had a frightful time with the small, somehow it went on, but we weren't able to get it off. That the larger dog could be falling out of the medium, but the smaller dog had to be cut out of (yes, cut out of, i have no idea how we got it on) the smaller coat suggests the sizing is *very* out of whack.
