Pendleton Wool Blanket 4.7 5 32 32
Great value for a heirloom blanket made in USA. I purchased this blanket last year for a king size bed and found it to be perfect in every way. It washes beautifully without shrinking and is light weight but warm. The polyester blanket we previously used was uncomfortably warm at times and shredded at the top after two years of use. This blanket is made in the USA and will not become a throw away item in a few years. I recently purchased another Pendleton blanket from Lands End as a Christmas gift that I will be proud to give. beautiful blanket - well worth the money bought this blanket for the winter - monogrammed lovely - color as described and seen on website - husband big fan of pendelton blankets throughout his life and we ordered this new one to coordinate with bedroom redcoration - have removed for the spring and had dry cleaned before putting away for season - i know it says it can be washed but did not want pilling that sometimes occurs when laundering - feels soft and warm during the winter - another good product for years of use. I guess it could be viewed as pricey for a blanket but they are beautiful products - well made - in the USA I might add. - worth the investment April 29, 2013
wool blanket I purchased this blanket a month ago and purposely waited to review it until now. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It is so warm without making us too hot in bed. We use it along with our LE 6 ounce Flannel sheets and it is heaven! It is generously sized (king). It was rough to the touch when I opened it and that alarmed me. Washing it solved that. I am going to get another for my queen bed when they go on sale. February 11, 2013
Great Blanket! This is the perfect mid-weight wool blanket. It's not as soft as a synthetic blanket, but is a nice-textured wool blanket... And it's made in the U.S.! February 3, 2013
Lightweight I purchased the color Basil and it is a lovely green. The quality is good and the workmanship is also nice. However, I sadly returned it because this is a lightweight blanket and what I'm looking for is a winter-weight blanket with heft, and this one does not have it. I do not know if all the other colors of this line are also lightweight but since I live in the northeast where our winters are usually cold, a lightweight wool blanket would not be sufficient even for layering with a quilt. Not Lands End Quality I am a Lands End devotee; always impressed by the quality of all I receive. But this was a huge disappointment. Sandpaper comparisons would be a disservice to sandpaper. Very rough and scratchy. Ugh. January 10, 2013
Excellent Buy We received our blanket yesterday and when the temperture last night reached 27 degress-miserable in the Carolinas-this blanket was more than welcome. The length is perfect; It was so nice to not keep tugging the blanket up around your shoulders all night and the weight is perfect. I might also add that we purchased the blue/green heather and the color is so pretty. My only con would be that the blanket is slightly scratchy, but this will probably be reduced with laundering plus you are under a sheet so there is no direct skin contact. This morning my DH said he didn't know about me, but that he really liked the new blanket and had a really good night's sleep. December 22, 2012
Must have for cold winter nights! I had been looking for a good quality, made in USA blanet for quite a while when I heard about the Pendleton Wool blanket. After reading the reviews I decided to make the investment- and Im so happy I did. It is soft, warm and large enough to tuck into my bed (I bought a twin for a twin and it is oversized!). In the fall I was able to use this as the only blanket on my bed- I stayed warm, but didnt get too hot. I now use it between my sheets and down comforter for the wnter nights and it is fantastic! My only compaint is that the color of the blanket didnt really match the color on the website (I got the emerald green one). I expected it to be lighter with some blue in it, but it is more of a dark, hunter green. Overall Im really happy with the quality of the product and will buy again in the future! December 7, 2012
Rough! This may be my personal issue in thinking that the wool blanket would feel soft, but its kind of rough and itchy. The twin size we ordered seemed very generous in size when we laid it out on our queen size bed. We are returning it due to the feel of it - too rough for us. December 3, 2012
Best blanket ever This is a really nice blanket. It washes wonderfully, is lightweight but warm, very comfortable. A 100% improvement over synthetics. December 1, 2012
