My favorite gift to give
I have been giving this blanket as a new baby gift for many, many, years and everyone loves it. I have many friends that still keep it in the room with their child even after all those years. I think the quality is excellent and with the name as a script monogram it is a home run. As some others have written, it would be nice to see some other color selections. Also, I don't usually take the default thread color as it does not provide enough contrast. Pink Coral looks great on the pink blanket and Alpine Blue is nice on the blue blanket.

Need More Color Choices
Since receiving one of these blankets for my child, I have been giving one as a baby gift for over 10 years and love it! It is my children's go-to comfort and has maintained its softness and shape over time. However, I am disappointed that the color choices have dwindled to only pink and powder blue. My daughter has lavender, my two sons have royal blue and powder blue . . . I know that there used to be yellow as well. Now I'm faced with sending the same color to the same family again and anyone who has kids knows, that will be a problem -- Please Lands End bring back a color selection -- there is a big rainbow out there!

Great product. PLEASE offer another color choice!
This has been my go-to baby gift for a dozen years, after we received a red one as a baby gift ourselves. I get it personalized with the baby's name and it has always been a hit. They're soft, long-wearing, and the perfect size.
It was a better gift, though, when it came in colors like red and yellow. Many, many parents don't dress their babies in the traditional pink and blue all the time, and they don't pick pink or blue for their nursery decor. PLEASE, Land's End, add more color choices for this blanket -- even one more would be good. Red would be perfect, I'd be grateful for a bright green or yellow. Just give us something besides boring old pink or blue, so I'm not giving a dinosaur of a gift to these young parents.

Still going strong .... 9 years later!
I received a blue and a pink blanket for my twins when they were born. Nine and a half years later, they are still being used! They have been thrown into the washer and dryer thousands of times and have held up well. At one point, we stopped allowing them in the car unless we were going on long car trips. Then, when they were 7, we established the rule that they were no longer allowed to have them downstairs ... up until then, they were a constant companion. My kids STILL pack them when we go away on vacation and still use them when they sleep at night. I order these blankies for many of my friends that have babies. Oh, and the embroidery is still intact as well!

Great gift for a new baby
My son received this blanket as a gift when he was born. It became his "blankie" and has lasted over 5 years now. It stands up very well to wear and tear and always looks great. It's been washed many, many times and always looks new. We really like this blanket and have since given it as gifts to other people. It's not overly fancy but very cozy and high quality. Wish it is available in other colors though.

Not what it used to be
I have ordered this blanket as a baby gift countless times over the years. One of the things I liked best about it was that there was a huge selection of colors--you weren't locked in to the boring "pink or blue" choice. Now the only colors available are pink and blue! The bright colors that used to be available meant that the child could still keep and use the blanket long after babyhood. I'm very disappointed, and although I said I would recommend this product, my "yes" is qualified. I would gladly buy it again if the previous color (and thread) choices were made available.

Overall nice, but thin and overpriced
I was hoping for a thicker blanket for this price. It is very thin. But so far it hasn't pilled like other fleece blankets.

Would not buy again; Cheap and flimsy
We ordered this blanket for a friend because we received one when our oldest son was born. It was, in fact, one of our favorite gifts. He loved it because it was warm and cozy and I loved it because it held up well despite numerous trips through the laundry.
The blanket that arrived in the mail today is nothing like the original we have. The fabric is thin and flimsy. It certainly would not keep an infant warm on a chilly winter day. Further, the monogramming is so poorly done that it adds nothing to the blanket and only serves to underscore how cheaply it was made.
I realize it was under $30, but it certainly was not what we expected from Land's End and we will not be sending it on as a gift. We can't return it with the monogram so it's going in the cleaning bin.
Don't waste your money!

soft and sweet
this is my go to baby gift. I buy one for the baby's house and one for the grandparents house. I have the name embroidered on both but in different style.
I have been told that they wear well and wash well.
