Men's Wool Rib Midcalf Dress Socks (2-pack) 2 5 12 12
The sock ripped in the heels after only a few wearings. The quality was not what I expected. I bought more than one pair for my two sons and the socks ripped in the heels after only a few wearings. The material is very thin and I would not recommend them. December 25, 2012
too big Tough to check the right boxes here. The socks are structurally great with one exception. LE really needs to beef up the back heel that wears out too quick. Main problem with this order is that LE sizes them wrong. I am 5'9" - the American male average - and these socks come up to my knee caps. I'll be returning them for the shortees and hoping their buyers will work on the heel. October 15, 2012
Prices up, quality slightly down - still nice socks Prices continue to rise (used to be three pair for about the same price). Each year they seem to get a bit thinner (less rich feeling). Nevertheless I continue to buy them, as I have found nothing better in the price range. Wool keeps the black with no fade even after a year of washings - important to me in a business environment. Usually last about a year before the shoe back rubs through at the back and skin begins to show. October 13, 2012
Once a great product, but no longer recommended These used to be my go to product for quality dress socks. A few months ago I purchased a bunch of them, and found that Lands End had made a change -- for the worse. The socks felt lighter than before. But what's most telling is how they've held up, or more appropriately, have not held up. Within a few washings they began to pill, and soon thereafter developed holes in the heel. It's a disappointment that Lands End chose to reduce their costs, rather than holding the line on quality. I'll never purchase these again, and am instead on the prowl for quality dress socks made elsewhere. October 8, 2012
Last & Last Great business wear. They look great and they last and last. August 18, 2012
Heels wear out Heels wear thin after about 6-8 wearings. August 11, 2012
Terrible quality. Lands End should be ashamed Landsend used to stand for reliable quality at a moderate price. I bought their socks, and my father bought their socks. Everything we wore was Landsend. The socks were quality. Now, someone decided to save a few cents by using a junky supplier, and these socks wear out in only a few months. Junk at a moderate price. That's what Lands End means to me now. I hope the few cents were worth it. August 4, 2012
Poor Quality - heels wore out after several uses. Disappointed. Heels wore out after several uses. Possibly the least durable pair of wool dress socks I have purchased. They were soft though. July 12, 2012
Cheap material. I ordered these socks 4 months ago and already they are "pilling" and wearing thin on the heels. I wear them only once a week. Not the quality I expect from Lands End. June 6, 2012
Not good I have worn Lands End Merino wool socks for many many years, but the new ones are all falling apart at the toes and at the seams. It's too bad they aren't as good as they were in the past. I am going to try the cotton ones instead, just to see what happens. March 16, 2012
