Some occasions just call for fleece, like walking the dog, heading off to the weekend game or hanging out around a backyard campfire. But while an unlimited number of “fleece days” can be counted on, the weather cannot. Enter Polartec® Windbloc®. It’s windproof and water repellent, so the unexpected shower won’t soak you. And thanks to the lofty fibers that trap air, it also has plenty of warming power (yet it won’t weigh you down). With two layers of cozy fleece, our Marinac Jacket feels incredibly soft inside and out, too. 100% polyester. Machine wash. Imported.

Men's Windproof Marinac Jacket 4.5 5 6 6
Cat's Meow for Light, Warm Jacket This is the second windproof Marinac I've purchased and it offers a little higher styling than my original one. The fit is on the big side about one sweater's worth. I still get to enjoy the zippered outside hand pockets, but darn it, you took away the multiple inside pockets that were in the old Marinac and replaced them with one big inside pocket. Would be nice to bring back at least the inside cell phone pocket next version. The warmth of these jackets belies their weight; perfect to watch a late fall Saturday afternoon football game in and they do turn a surprise rain shower away for a long time. While I'm not crazy about the looks of the rather large plastic velcro tabs for the cuffs, they do work and perform better than the original coat's elastic cuffs. All in all, nearly a perfect jacket to throw in the backseat or overhead bin when traveling in those 'iffy' spring and fall season changes. (Please lose the red trim color on the inside of the front zipper!) January 31, 2013
great fleece This fleece is very warm, and fits well (medium tall). I'm okay with the plastic velcro fastener (it's a soft plastic), but I don't like elastic at the wrist personally. It works well. I like it. January 25, 2013
Preferred the Marinac from 10 years ago but this one is pretty good! The old Marinac had inside pockets with zippers, so it kept things from falling out. The two front pockets were tall enough for a magazine or a bottle of wine or a book. I was a bit disappointed at first with the new layout but the jacket is still windproof and came in very useful on a windy and snowy Xmas trip to Chicago. I like the way the new inside pockets taper in at the top. Great quality and a great online deal. January 5, 2013
Great Medium Tall fit; wish body was 2" longer and plastic fasteners were replaced with elastic As a tall lanky guy it's hard to find clothes with long enough sleeves that are also not enormous. The Medium Talls at Lands End have fit the bill well so far. Overall I like the warmth of this jacket. It does cut the wind pretty well while also breathing enough so that you're not blazing hot the second you step inside. My only recommendations to make the product better would be a) make bodies of the Tall sizes a few inches longer and b) replace the cheap-looking plastic/Velcro fasteners around the wrists with something more standard like elastic. Besides that though, I'm a fan. November 24, 2012
Nice except why would you put plastic fasteners on the sleeves? Made well, it hasn't been that cold yet but I think it's going to be very warm. A little big - especially the sleeves., I ordered a medium, I wear 32/33 sleeves and this is a little long for that. Not unbearably. What is close to unbearable is the sleeve closures they put at the wrist are pieces of PLASTIC that you hook to the velcro to close the sleeve. Why would you put a piece of plastic on the sleeve of a quality jacket? Not little pieces either. Have not yet figured out if this is a deal breaker or not, will decide return or not soon. Looks great My 20 yr old son loves his new jacket. He was surprised how warm it was, while still being a light-weight jacket. This jacket looks good enough for him to wear with his casual dress clothes, but still looks good with jeans. The zipper has a double slider that allows the bottom of the jacket to be unzipped, which he finds a bit difficult, but I think that is just my son not being used to that type of zipper.
