Men's Traditional Pattern Linen Jacket
Excellent fit and feel.
Fits like it was tailored for me. Didn't even have to have the sleeve length altered.

My husband is very pleased with this jacket. We ordered his regular size and it fit him perfect. It is an attractive jacket that is well made and the colors go well with blues and greens. My husband has several Lands End jackets and this one rates high up there like the other jackets do.

beautiful fabric, nice cut; sleeves are a little long because I wanted more chest room
see above for fit; quality fine; with matching pants, a very fine summer suit; alternately, a handsome summer jacket

Nice tropical-weight jacket
I just got this jacket and so haven't yet worn it in hot weather (it's February) but considering the construction and feel of the fabric I'm pretty sure it's going to be great. This is a nice light, breathable linen that is still sturdy. Points to keep in mind:
1) The "Brown Large Herringbone" color is a bit darker than it appears on the web picture. It's still an attractive color and will transition well from casual to dressy. It looks great either with the matching slacks or over denim. But it's not quite as light and sandy as the photos suggest.
2) Though described as "traditional fit" I would say it's a bit more tapered--i.e. broader in the shoulders than the waist--than the version of "traditional" that I was used to in Lands' End Year-Rounder suits (why did LE discontinue those? Please bring them back!). If the taper works on your body, however, between the shape and the excellent drape of the fabric it produces a snappy silhouette. This 5' 8", 180-lbs guy finds a 40R to fit really well. I had to take up about 3/4" of the sleeve, so that means there's some room for longer arms than mine (16-34 shirt).
3) The patch pockets that look so horrible on most of LE's new suits actually don't detract much from this particular jacket. I would still prefer traditional pockets, but this is still a very nice-looking jacket.
Overall this is a good-looking jacket (suit if you get the matching slacks) I expect to enjoy for quite some time.

Both pants and jacket are a great fit.
The material is superb. You immediately recognize the qualtiy of the Irish linen.

True to size - color good
I found my 44R to fit true to size. Ordered the matching trousers too. Also fit true to size.
As to the color: yes, right out of the bag there is quite a gloss/sheen to the fabric. This tones down nicely after the first cleaning however, and matches the the color as indicated in the photographs provided.

Nice jacket, surprisingly close fitting
I've been looking for a jacket like this for some time and was happy to find it at Lands End. The construction, tailoring, and detailing was surprisingly modern and close fitting, which makes sense with the robust linen fabric. My only criticism would be the large armholes, which unnecessarily restrict movement, but not to the point of discomfort.

Heavy fabric for summer.
Jacket fit small. Fabric was quite heavy and thick for summer weight clothing.

beutiful item, ridiculous sleeve length
I am a standard 42 long, but these sleeves came to the first knuckle on my thumb. Of course, that can be fixed, and it's better than too short!

Dreadful colour - did not bother to even try on
The colour of the herringbone linen on this suit was not at all like the photo. It was a dreadful brassy shiney horrible colour that should never have got past the selection process. To think this could have been a real innovation being Irish linen and instead it has been a comprehensive stuff up. Lift you game LE!
