Prized for its cool elegance since the days of the Pharaohs, linen must be created with great care to bring out its natural beauty. Flax – the fiber from which linen is woven – can’t be rushed, or it becomes coarse or brittle. And then couldn’t be spun and woven into this soft, silky fabric.
Since the 13th century, the finest linen has been made in Ireland, and this fabric is from Baird McNutt, Ireland’s foremost linen mill. Their 100 years of experience and reputation for quality are unrivaled. And it shows in the fine quality of this jacket. Soft construction removes some of the layers and linings found in traditional jackets, creating a lighter-weight coat with natural shoulders. Linings and seam tape are silky Bemberg® rayon. 54% linen/46% cotton. Dry clean. Imported.

Fit is Bad
I have another blazer the same size that fits correctly. This blazer is far too tight across the chest and shoulders. I have to return it - first time returning a product after many years with Landsend. Maybe this is why it was on sale?

Excellent quality and appearance the Jacket fits tighter than other Landsend Jackets
Very pleased with this jacket over all. I ordered the pants to match and a second pair to contrast.
I was very pleased by the jacket and the matching pants keeping there shape and not creasing as much as I had expected the linen may do over the course of a very hot day. It was extremely comfortable in 85 degree plus weather. Highly recommend this as a summer jacket and as a summer suit. I was pleased by the Navy Blue Jacket and Pant color match. They are dead on. No one would ever know it was not meant to be a suite. I have had this for less than a month. The Quality and Appearance are excellent and good value. Delivery was very prompt to Ontario, Canada.

Oddest fabric I've ever felt
This is supposed to be a cotton/linen blend-soft yes ? NO !; felt like a straw hat. Strange...Really dissapointed because it fit just right. And what's with the partial back /acetate lining on a summer blazer.
How about only sleeve lining and out of glazed cotton for coolness.

a cut above
Lands End tailoring is always a cut above the rest of the internet stores and this jacket is no exception. Fabric and color are good and 42 L fit me perfectly, even the sleeve length. I am 6'1" 180 #

Just as advertised....
I am a consultant and much of my work is done in Korea and China. I bought this to be a workhorse jacket to be worn in factories as well as the interminable business lunches and dinners where dressy casual attire is the norm. This jacket fills this roll admirably.
I?m now on the third week of my current trip in China and it is holding up beautifully. I take it off in the evening, brush the sawdust off and hang it up; next morning it?s ready to go again. It is exactly what I was looking for; tough but suitably attractive and stylish. I?d like it even better if it was available in dark charcoal or black?.
