Description

Pure wool, unparalleled performance.

  • Lightweight, pure-wool fabric with wrinkle resistance, natural stretch and Cool Wool climate control
  • Our trimmest fit, with proportionately narrow lapels
  • Armholes designed to let you move without the coat lifting
  • Meticulously tailored internal materials and trim
  • Full lining
  • Back vent
  • Four inside pockets
  • Two-button front

A completely new design, this suit coat gives you more performance than any others on the market at our price. How? With an exclusive fabric woven from ultrafine Super 110 yarn given high twist. Perfect for travel, the silky fabric has enhanced wrinkle resistance: it looks smooth longer and requires fewer pressings. It also offers you twice the natural stretch of other 100% wool fabric – up to 10% stretch: it moves more comfortably and then springs back to shape rather than go baggy with wear. And a Cool Wool “climate control” finish releases moisture and heat so you feel cooler during warm months, while the fabric insulates throughout winter.

Innovation didn’t stop with the fabric. The fit is trim, the lapels modernly narrow. There’s a soft, natural shoulder, a “chalice” front pocket and underarm guards to protect the lining. Dry clean. Imported.

Men's Tailored Fit SuperNatural? Wool Suit Jacket 2.2 5 6 6
Not as expected - Returned I have bought a number of suits at Lands End in the past. I stopped when quality dropped-off a few years ago. I was hoping, given the description, that this new arrival would signal the return of a quality suit - I was disappointed. Material is thin, has a coarse look to it and has very little lustre for a supposedly super 120's fabric. The chest pocket is a patch pocket (should have read the other reviews more closely), which gives the jacket a less than dressy look and makes it difficult to wear in a business office environment. Although I am a very standard size 40, this suit was slightly tight at the shoulders but then a full inch too short in the sleeves - the proportions seemed a bit off. Unfortunately, had to return. Well made, but wide around the waist The shoulders fit well, true to size. Unfortunately, the waist area flared out a good bit, which was surprising considering it's a tailored suit. Perhaps the pockets are set further. I was very happy with the fit of the accompanying pants, but returned to suit nonetheless and went with the tailored style from banana republic. October 15, 2012
Great suit except for breast pocket Material and fit are great and very comfortable. Only reservation is the outside breast pocket which is a patch type pocket instead of the traditional inside pocket and is too informal for comfortably wearing to court or a business meeting. Given the high quality and utility of the suit fabric, including a metal pants zipper which is much appreciated given what dry cleaning and pressing does to the usual plastic zippers, it is hard to understand the reason for the untraditional breast pocket. If it were a traditional pocket, I would likely buy more of these suits (previous 110's wool Lands End suits have lasted 15 to 20 years). The informal patch breast pocket limits the usefullness of the suit. Lands End suits are never going to be edgy or a fashion statement and should be conservative, reliable and timeless - my message to the designers. The tailored fit works very well, but not the unusual breast pocket. October 13, 2012
Defective Tailoring I purchased a jacket in Nov. 2011, put it away to use this fall, and recently noticed marked buckling of the fabric where the arms meet the body - this was much worse on the right side. The jacket was made in Mexico. I put the jacket aside to return and ordered another a few days ago, needing one to wear to an affair at the end of Sept. The newer jacket, now made in India, arrived with the same defective tailoring. I have purchased suits and blazer from Lands End in the past and have not encountered this problem. I am a long term customer and I have typically been pleased with the quality from Lands End. These purchases, however, were a disappointment. September 26, 2012
38 cut 5'11" slender man with some tone My husband is slender, but skinny with a straight frame, not a muscular V shaped body. It fit him perfectly except that he was too short for it and they only make a short in the boxy traditional cut....please offer more short tailors blazers! My husband is 5'10" with an average torso. this jacket is cut and inch longer than most other brands in 38R. We are still considering should pads or something because otherwise it's sweet. The true navy looks presidential or secret service - fine wool suiting with a subtile sheen. There used to be MANY MANY negative comments on the narrow shoulders on this style. that is the reason we bought it. Annoying that reviews are constantly dropped by lands end. Hope this helps! Not a finely tailored jacket This suit jacket is very disappointing. It does not look like a $300 jacket. I did not pick up in the picture that the jacket has patch pockets and topstiching on the lapels and down the front. This is not a dress up jacket. It has all the features of a cheap sport coat except metal buttons. I purchased it and the matching pants to wear as a suit for dress up events and it does not do the job. I am returning it. All this being said, the fabric is nice and the tailoring on the inside of the coat is very good, too bad it did not continue to the outside of the coat as well. September 21, 2012
