We add a new degree of versatility to Original Chinos by building these not in twill but in warm 14-wale corduroy. Our cord is 100% cotton for complete softness; because it’s “W-weave” corduroy, with wales woven through the ground twice to prevent “balding,” we don’t need the synthetics sometimes used to give the fabric durability.
The style is classic enough to wear with a blazer, but because the pants are so soft they’re right at home with a sport shirt or a sweater. And while they can be casual, we’re not nonchalant about the tailoring: the waistband has a three-piece curtain, as in dress pants; a full seven belt loops (not the more common five) to keep the waistband even; and there’s the integrated French fly familiar to men who wear our dress pants. With flapped back pockets. Machine wash. Imported.
